And he's your 10th or 11th man! Lol. If he is healthy, i dont see how its such a bad thing. And he's 6'8 with a 7'2 wingspan. Blair and Hayes start at center and are shorter.

Now im starting to just be like jpz. Its powe. Solid pick up. Low risk. If he does well, good.
Of the the guys bought out I'd want Murph. After the last few guys got signed other than Powe who else was out there to even sign? D-league and foreign players.

There's a reason you're occasionally referred to as BHZHomer.

Pulled off some magic huh?

*Patiently waiting to hear Wallace/Heisley found some loophole in the trade deadline and swung OJ Mayo for a couple first rounders*

Oh.

Picking up Leon Powe? That was it? Yeah, he's an average player who hasn't been effective or even relevant since 2008. He has only played 34 games in the past two seasons. His turnover rate is incredibly high when he gets significant minutes. In the 15 or so games he has played this season, he has been awful at the rim and extremely average from 3-9 feet.

Low risk? Of course. Solid pickup? No.

I hope Wallace/Heisley weren't charging money for this "magic" show.

I can see if he wasn't effective in playing time, but the guy was hurt and still recovering from a torn ACL. Your talking like he's been playing consistently over the past 2 years and haven't did a damn thing or he was getting DNP's because he sucked. I guess there's a reason no other team wanted him in the league after he cleared waivers as well....at least no good teams. BTW, I wasn't referring to Murphy ATG. He was off the market and it was clear that we had no shot at him.
To think at 26 years old that he still can't be a solid pick up if he's healthy doesn't make sense. This is a not a 36-year old veteran coming out of retirement.
I'm guessing you thought the Tony Allen signing was a wash too? No point in signing an 8th-9th man right? He couldn't possibly have nothing to do with how the team is playing right now....

You can still call me a homer, but I have never said anything about Powe being the best signing of the season.

The reason I said CW and TA had something to do with it is because CW drafted Powe and of course he and TA were teammates in Boston during the championship run. I didn't say CW did it like he's a master for getting talent or something.

That's why I was confident we would get him. I could care-less about his stats as well. For what he does on the floor, (i.e. Battier and TA) we don't need him to score much. We need rebounding, defense and hustle. He fits what were doing and that's what I like him for.

For Powe to be such a wash, there were people acting like we had no real shot at getting him. You would think since he's worth-less, he would go anywhere to play ball. I called Kurt Thomas a solid pick up for the Bulls. Not a difference maker, but a solid pick up. That's how I feel about the Powe signing. Happy? I'll much rather have him than Demarre Carroll. Put it that way. Just like I'll rather have Shane over Thabeet.

But, hey all of this started because I said "I knew CW and TA could work some magic."

You would think the Magic might have had Anderson start the second half, since he was the only one who could do anything. Halfway through the quarter, still no sign of him.

What does Orlando planning on doing with Anderson?
He's the only other player on that team I like outside of Dwight and wouldn't mind having. I know he has a couple of years left on his contract.
