Official 2011 NBA Finals Thread: Dallas Mavericks are the 2011 NBA Champions. VOL: KidDirk get rings

Lets be serious though only players involved in this Finals MVP talk is Dirk and Wade.

Why are all these Heat "fans" upset their boy is catching flak?

Your (unhealthily) favorite player is fun to root against. Cry about it.

I kind of think they'll rush Caron out if we lose either of the next two games.

We need Big Wood too.

This team is too good.

i was thinking this earlier. corey has more defensive presence than peja. there is no way peja can guard lebron 1 on 1. and its not like peja was contributing on offense anyways

the mavs need to stop playing from behind (i still expect them to get off to a hot start in one of their gms, but it is gonna be tough vs. the heat defense)
they dont need to "shake up" their rotation, but i would like to see brewer play some defense on wade or lebron.  it's difficult to ask kidd to guard wade for the full gm given his age
jj and peja isnt giving them anything on the offensive end and his defense is
sick.gif

i have a feeling caron is gonna give it a go or at least suit up, they must win gm 4 AND 5 to have a shot (what do they have to lose?)

wade is beasting out there and lebron is really distributing the ball well.  if he is robin, he is a damn good one.

the heat really should be up 3-0 and mavs fans saying they should be up 2-1.  i feel the heat are too good to lose two gms in a row in a series.

Normally I would say something to the effect of "Dirk is a lock for Dallas, but Miami needs to win to more games to win the series. Who knows who is going to be the deciding factor in those games? Even if either Wade or LeBron just have a huge closeout game to win the series, that will be enough for finals MVP".
I would say that under NORMAL circumstances, but let's be real here. LeBron ain't getting finals MVP no matter what happens. Those 9 media voters are not going to vote for this dude. When the media was voting for the season MVP, a large amount didn't even have him in their top 10. Even if in the next 2 Heat victories LBJ has 50+ point triple doubles, there's still no chance he gets it.

The fact that the media is even trying to frame it as if Wade has been the better player shows you their intentions. Wade played bad in all of game 1 except 2 shots he made in the 4th quarter that they would have still won by 5 points without. Even the fans who are usually not that bright had enough sense to recognize and vote LBJ the MVP of game 1. Wade definitely played better than LeBron in game 2, but they lost, so it doesn't even matter.

Game 3 is another story. If you argued that Wade played better than LBJ in game, i wouldn't really argue. IMO, it's too close to call. Wade scored more points, but when you factor in assists with shots made, they're both responsible for exactly 15 scoring plays. I don't really see one being more valuable than the other. That's not even taking into account the at least 3 no call fouls on LeBron. The guy should have 5 more free throw attempts minimum and it's not like he could really be aggressive after the refs where throwing BS fouls at him left and right.

I think next game the Mavs are not going to focus so many double teams and piling up defensively on LeBron with the way Wade has been scoring. The problem is if they focus on Wade, that just leaves Lebron open. It's really a lose/lose situation for the Mavs' defense, even with all the help from the refs.

After watching this game i'll be really surprised if the Mavs win more than one game .. at the end of the day, the big 3 are too much too handle and Miami's offense is as good as their defense which is unfair.. there is no way MIA will lose 3 more times..

At least Bosh embarrassed himself enough that no one cares he won the game.

I honestly don't get how people become Heat fans.

It's split between Lebron Fans, people who like this big 3 stuff or D riders and NT/Sports and Training is FILLED with them. Its a epidemic in these parts though.

When Caron went down, the Mavs needed to make a move for Dirk. Dude is alone out there too often. Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, Jason Kidd... STEP UP!

Mavs had so many chances though but BLEW it with the silly mistakes.

the argument now is not who is going to win the finals but who is the alpha male in the heat
