Official 2011 NFL Draft Thead Vol. Lions winning.... Niners losing...

Blaine Gabbert reminds me a lot of Alex Smith. They're saying he doesn't "respond well to pressure", or can't improvise, that's Alex Smith in a nutshell.

Peterson won't fall past the Niners if he even falls that far.

These crazy stories about the Raiders wanting to trade up and get a QB are making me even more impatient for tonight. If anything, I hope we trade up and get a top 5 CB (Jimmy Smith). There is no QB worth trading up for IMO.

I don't see the Niners picking a QB with their first pick, that just seems absurd. As much as I hate to say it, Peterson might fall to them.

My wish-list for the Raiders:

-Top 5 CB
-OT
-OG
-OLB
-Late TE

I have no faith whatsoever in the front office, I just have a feeling that they'll +@$# this up.

If he's still there at 7 we need to go ahead and make that happen.

He's an OLB. I don't think any team would draft him as a 3-4 DE. A 4-3 DE? Yeah.

I can see him being utilized much like James Harrison.

Thanks. Never really saw him play.

So Orakpo and possibly Quinn on the outside rushing the passer. Sounds straight to me. Of course we still would have no one to stop the run up the middle

Unless we are getting a ridiculous deal which includes a high pick in this draft and a super high pick in next years draft, there is NO WAY the 49ers trade the Texans the 7th overall pick with PP on the board.  You can stop even dreaming about that happening.

From everything I have read, PP is #1 on SF's board.  If he is there at 7, I think your team would have to blow our the Niners away with an offer for us to move it.  Thats all Im saying.

Man I get what you're saying but considering the Texans could possibly be in the top 10 next year, that's a high ransom for any draft prospect.Hell when guys get the franchise tag teams ask for 2 1st round picks. Just to be fair, if a team like Cleveland came to Houston and said they'll offer 2 1st's for Andre Johnson, he'll probably be GONE. Thats all I'm trying to say.

Fair enough.  When I said high pick next year, I didnt necessarily mean your first.  But yeah.  PP is a hot commodity, and I pray to god that he slips to 7.  Not holding my breath however.
