Any pics? How did you get the seats?

There is absolutely no way to fight the fight that Floyd fought and NOT get hit. Had he just tried to out box Cotto (nothing his past few fights or in that fight showed me that he couldn't if he wanted to) then he woulda been unscathed, no bloody nose and another W. This supposed #%+@% in the armor or him slowing down is being exaggerated.
Hand issues, cold don't stop Floyd
LAS VEGAS -- In the week leading up to Saturday's Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Miguel Cotto junior middleweight title bout, I had heard rumors that Mayweather had suffered some sort of hand or wrist injury.

Last Tuesday, I spoke to Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's adviser, about it and emailed Golden Boy promoter Richard Schaefer. They both vehemently denied there was any issue with Mayweather's hand.

Ellerbe called me to refute the rumor. Schaefer more forcefully denied the issue in an email, writing, "Absolutely NOTHING wrong. Floyd is perfect and ready to go. These are all bull---- rumors."

Of course, with a huge fight a few days away, I wouldn't have expected them to come clean with me anyway.

Well, it turned out the rumors were true, that Mayweather did have a hand problem. It also turned out that he was a bit under the weather, making his unanimous decision win against Cotto (in a grueling action fight) all that more impressive.

At the final news conference on Wednesday, Mayweather sounded as if he had a bit of a cold. He said it was because he had just woken to come to the news conference.

During the postfight news conference, however, Mayweather came clean. He said he had been ill and had suffered a left hand injury during his training camp. But he refused to withdraw from the fight.

"I came into the fight weighing 147 [pounds], so I was four pounds lighter than I was [at Friday's weigh-in]," said Mayweather, whose cold caused him to lose weight after the weigh-in.

Cotto weighed 154 pounds -- the division limit -- and put on several pounds after the weigh-in, giving him a distinct weight advantage in the ring.

"I was kinda sick and I was having hand problems," Mayweather said. "So I said, you know what, I still was training in the gym but I was using my hands real light. I didn't get to box the last week like I wanted to. So, you know, things happen. But the main thing is, we got the victory and that's the most important thing."

Because he wants to stay sharp, Mayweather usually has his last sparring session on the Thursday before a fight. But he cut his sparring short by several days for the Cotto fight to preserve his hands, which he said he had to ice regularly. Mayweather has had hand problems throughout his career, although not in recent fights -- none that he has acknowledged, anyway.

"I sucked it up and went out there and did what I had to do," Mayweather said.

I think the last fights from each Mayweather n Pacquiao were key cuz they both showed each others weaknesses so clearly. Mayweather struggles against physicality n pressure (to a certain degree) n Pacman struggles against better technical boxers who actually know how to counter punch n defend themselves. Ironically each others weaknesses are also their opponents strengths which makes their potential match that much more intriguing to me. Also Floyd looked slower than usual in that Cotto fight

Money just prove with this fight, he one of the best from our generation. Dude is a beast on defense, and he is hard to hit.

I still can't find a reason as to why.
Maybe Peterson failed a drug test? (doubt it though)

Khan is also no longer with Ariza... (coincidence?)
Lucian Bute still to fight Carl Froch.
Spoiler [+]
Super middleweight Lucian Bute plans to go through with his much-anticipated title defense against former titlist Carl Froch, despite nursing a foot infection for the past week at his South Florida training camp, promoter InterBox announced Monday.

Bute, the Montreal star who will be making his 10th title defense, is scheduled to meet Froch on May 26 (Epix and EpixHD.com) in Froch's hometown of Nottingham, England.

"Lucian Bute has been bothered by an infection in his foot since last Saturday," InterBox said in a statement. "However, the condition is improving and InterBox and Lucian Bute are confident that Lucian will be able to fight according to schedule."

InterBox said that a foot specialist has prescribed antibiotics to Bute to treat the infection.

"He will meet with doctors again later this week to ensure that the foot is healing according to schedule," InterBox said.

Bute (30-0, 24 KOs), a native of Romania who recently became a Canadian citizen, has fought all of his previous defenses in Montreal and Quebec City, plus one in Romania. He has been criticized by many for fighting only in front of hometown crowds, which is one of the reasons he has said he accepted a deal to go to Froch's turf.

"For me it's the right time to come away from home and defend my belt and in my heart I believe I will be victorious," Bute said. "I've been criticized for not fighting away from home. I remember when (now retired former super middleweight and light heavyweight champion) Joe Calzaghe fought away from home (Wales) at the end of his career he received the respect he deserved for doing that and that's what I am looking to do."

Froch (28-2, 20 KOs), a former two-time super middleweight titlist, will be facing Bute in his first bout since losing a decision to Andre Ward in a title unification bout in the Super Six World Boxing Classic final on Dec. 17.

Thats true but Pac puts more pressure on fighters than anybody in boxing n has much faster hands than both of them. If their fight were to happen I wouldnt root for either, just a good fight but I do think Floyd would win by split decision  , if Pac dont knock him out or at least down

He struggles more with defending against the jab. DLH, Cotto, and Castillo were all effective using it against him. Yet for whatever reason DLH and Cotto both stopped using it after the 8th round.

DLH got hyped by the crowd

he thought all those body shots he was throwing against the ropes were landing when PBF blocked every one of them.

De La Hoya probably knows Mayweather Jr better than everyone except Roger and Floyd Sr. But everytime Floyd gets hit he's excited, like in the Sugar Shane fight.

Looks like the Khan v Peterson fight is in trouble. Apparently Peterson tested positive for a banned substance.

This fool needed his home crowd, the ref, the mystery man, and banned substances to beat Khan.

It has to be LaMont suffered an injury and the doctor injected him with some crap the speed up the healing process.

All this is making no sense to me.

Word!  Why would he agree to the drug tests only to fail them on purpose?  Makes no sense.
