OFFICIAL 2012 MIAMI HEAT PLAYOFFS THREAD (FINALS! 4-1) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are excuses. Lebron guarded the whole freaking state of Indiana man. Wade and Lebron did EVERYTHING last night. Our bench played piss poor when we needed them the most. Someone has to step up. And why the heck did Dexter Pittman not play foreal?! Indiana is big and physical. That's something that Pittman EXCELS IN! Come on Spo! If anything, we have one thing going our way this morning: 2 days rest. I hope Lebron and Wade are resting as i type. They'll need it.

Vogel had some good adjustments at the half, hats off to his staff. Spo's subs were all over the place in the second half in comparison to the first.
Disappointed, but we must find a way to spare some minutes to Wade and Bron with our reserves.

Absolutely. It was the one thing that I stated was a concern for me in watching what he'll improve on. Spo continues to get way too complacent with his lineups and is not realizing that it may in turn cost us valuable possessions. Yet, having said that, absolutely no excuse can be made for missing FT's and layups for that matter. Fatigue or not it's inexcusable. At any rate, the squad should be fine in Indy. The series is turning into a very good one extremely quickly. We move forward as usual with no real cause for alarm in the least bit!

Okay, the fact that no one else scored more than 5 points is one thing. But on a night where the Pacers out rebounded the Heat by 10 and about 3 more rebounds for the Heat/3 less for Indy could've changed the outcome of the game, the fact that no one else grabbed more than 6 rebounds shows the limitations of these players and what they can be counted on. The best thing they can do offensively is set picks for LeBron/Wade so they can drive to the basket easier, which is what they should do on almost every offense.

Once again spoeLstra shows his expertise. How they gave this guy an extension is really beyond me. Seriously, Chalmers? I would really like to hear his explanation for Chalmers taking the last shot and what ON EARTH made him believe that he could actually make it. He was by far the worst Heat player on a night where the help players were terrible to begin with. Haters rejoice, the Heat aren't winning anything this year, and serious changes (more than adding one over the hill Shane Battier) need to be made for next season.

I think Spoelstra is gonna have to consider playing Pittman.

He's the only real big the Heat have and he could make it tougher for Hibbert down low.

Also why did Haslem get so few minutes last night? He's anemic shooting the ball but he could still help defensively and with rebounding, taking away some of the Pacers 2nd chance opportunities.

Chalmers is going to have to step up and take some of the scoring load off of Wade and LeBron. He's gotta stop committing stupid fouls so that he can stay in the game.

The Heat bench.

These dude have to step up in Bosh's absence and they gave them nothing. Miller/Battier/Jones etc. do nothing but take up space on the court.

As a Warrior fan, I truly hate small  ball and I'm not a fan of Lebron at the PF (albeit for long stretches of the game). I don't know how effective Pittman or even Eddy Curry can be, but they give the Heat a better chance to matchup with the Pacers size.

Although he's been shaky, I kinda agree that Spo should give Norris Cole an extended run. Heat's p&r offense is so predictable and defenses can just camp in the lane.

Q: Does Pat Riley's philosophy of defense first (all the time) sacrifice too much offense?  This current Heat team relies way too much on its defense to create offense. It is one thing to have defensive stops, it is another when the defensive stops are the major driver of your offense. -- Stuart.

A: The offense Tuesday was a pathetic. And when Wade isn't hitting his shots, it leaves it as all-or-nothing for the 3-point shooters (so far it has been nothing plus one in this series) and having to drive into a packed paint. I never thought I'd be saying this, but it's almost as if the Heat could have used more Norris Cole on Tuesday night. The problem is neither of the Heat's primary reserve wings, Mike Miller or Shane Battier, can score off the dribble. This was a night when Mario Chalmers had to do more than 2 for 10 with no assists.

I agree. I said earlier in the game yesterday that we needed to squeeze every minute of Norris Cole that we could. He was playing very well yesterday and Spoelstra went away from after one missed switch, if I can remember correctly. His speed and ability to penetrate could help free up Battier/Miller/Jones. Mario HAS to play smarter, but we see that Indiana's plan is to attack him early in the game.
Come on Spoelstra, get it done.

Really bad. Wade looked like he mailed it in i dont get it. But man Rio was terrific tonight. I have confidence in that kid. He will reach my dream of him playing like Billups one day

Calm down Heat family .... abysmal performance without question but we shot poorly EXTREMELY poorly and our star player didn't keep his emotions in check .. CALM DOWN! Express your disgust of course as I will but remain in tact and supportive of the squad, we'll be alright!

Wade won't have another game like that. We will be alright.
Positives - ball movement in the 1st half, Chalmers, and Bron worked the post early.

I've seen this team bounce back pretty well during the year, let's go get it Sunday.

This really shows how much we need Bosh. He does all the dirty work and gets those extra points that we really need.

Welp, so much for starting Dexter Pittman.

The Heat finally get some contribution from the role players and Wade has a game like that.

After calling out the Pacers for celebrating too.

Do or die for Miami in Game 4.

The same thing happened tonight, except Mario went off. I don't even know what to say about Wade's performance. I am not watching TV until Sunday though..
Spoelstra is outmatched. He can't handle smarter coaches with more efficient teams and his own players have no respect from him. Let's see what happens next...
