to him or stafford?Top 3-4.
His yards may dip slightly, but his TD's should rise also. He's as safe as any player in the NFL, barring injury.

also depends on how many teams in your league. i think megatron is a beast but in 12 or 14 team leagues i prob have to take him at the 5 spot. ap , doug martin , charles and foster and it would be tempting to take him ahead of foster but i want solid rb's on my team. im setting my kds 1-3 and 14-4 in most leagues this year. kds ( kentucky derby style ) is a great way for teams to get where they want to draft in most cases. here is a copy of how it works. you might want to use it in your leagues.how early should calvin johnson be taken in a ppr league?
Personally I'm not taking Calvin Johnson as a first round pick even in a PPR unless its a 12 man length and its pick 11 or 12
The variance in points from him to a guy you can get in the 2nd or 3rd round isn't high enough IMO.
you made a great point. guys like rice , shady , trich , spiller can all be taken before him. the only thing is injury factor to some of these rb's. you need your top two picks to be solid so you can win the league in latter round picks.Personally I'm not taking Calvin Johnson as a first round pick even in a PPR unless its a 12 man length and its pick 11 or 12

Whaaaa?
Dude has almost 8,000 yards in 90 games, with 54 TD's, and another receiver comes close to that, that you can get in round 2-3? Who the **** might they be?
If you takin a Jamal Charles at the end of round 1 vs a Reggie Bush in round 2-3, the difference there is small as hell too. Bottom line is for 16 weeks, Calvin gives you a better than 50% chance at A, a 100 yard game, B, a TD, C, both. No other receiver outside of AJ or Dez get anywhere close to that feel all year long. And both those guys only done it for a year or so. Calvin is legit for 5 years now. EVERY week, he puts points up. Andre don't. Larry don't. Jennings didn't. Marshall doesn't. Welker does, but still less than Calvin. Randy Moss used to.
Calvin to Green isn't a huge gap, but after that, it's a WIDE gap. Calvin to the #3-4-5-6 WR is much bigger than #1 RB to #5 RB. And less risk of injury for a WR than a RB that takes the rock 25+ times a game. Many more chances for damage.
but dont forget your going to be chasing rb's and while you chase rb's the second teir of wr's will be going. this makes you have to draft a perfect draft when you take a wr that high. balance is a key to a good team.Whaaaa?

Calvin had over 40 catches and 900 yards more than Decker, good for only 46 points?
It was the anomaly of Calvin getting tackled at the 1-2 yard line like 4 times last year. He had 16 the year before, 12 before that, and another 12 in 08 I believe.
And he still had 10 grabs, and 400 yards on Andre who got into the end zone less than Calvin did.
Even at 38 points, that's 3 per week in a 12 week season (fantasy)
And Peterson was historic last year, and not something easily doable for that position. As I said, Calvin left a lot of TD's on the board, even if he slips to 16-1,700 yards, he comes up to 10 TD's, his points dwarf other receivers by damn near 5-6 a week this year.
And that's not even expecting any improvement from him or Stafford.
Probably can hold off a couple weeks before worrying about starting guys.should i start dwayne allen [vs oak] over antonio gates [vs HOU]?
Doug Martin and CJ Spiller are my top two players in all of fantasy.

Of course you can win having late draft picks isn't always a bad thing you just have to pay close attention to the picks available to you.I have the 14th pick is there any possible way that i can win?
