missing my point....the only reason some of these artists are popular as they are is because anybody and everybody can put a video on youtube and it goes viral and all of a sudden they're popular....the game is too saturated with people that have no real talent......at least when it was radio driven - sonically the music had to be good for it to be popular (for the most part)

Macklemore is corny as hell to me personally . . . but in theory he is an independent artist who makes music with a lot of social commentary and he dominated the show and was the most successful rapper this year, that's the opposite of what you are talking about
