no matter where he goes dwight will never be the man on a team. his game is not suited for that

harden is the man on that rockets team.

25 ppg and young. make no mistake.

i do not get some people who think dwight is all of a sudden going to average near 30 a game. when has he done that? not in orlando with a bunch of trash.

thats not his game. its a shame a big man like him only gets a bit over an assist a game for his career

you can blame kobe, blame antoni, blame the pressure, but seriously dwight is Dwight.

dwight would have been great on the lakers because we would have had another max player to put next to him and a really good player to go along. he wa never going to be that franchise player regardless of what mitch kupchak or any person on the lakers organization fed his ego at the time

he averaged what 17 ppg last year with the lakers playing less minutes than the previous 2 years and getting worse at the free throw line by about 10 percent.

if he was healthy and made his free throws he would have gotten his averages or better

nobody hindered his game

lakers would have been better off had he re signed with them but what can you do? cannot force someone to stay if he doesnt want to
They basically took a player off/on a injury...placed him in a offense to which he has never played in before...with types of players hes never played with before. Run a offense to which he more or less wasn't even a option. And when he was you were expecting him to do things, in which he has never shown/displayed he could do at any point in his career. They essentially took a player, looked at his numbers and what he has produced and said...well we want you to do the same thing, only do it in a totally different way, in a totally different style of play that you have never shown you could play...That would be like asking rose, while injuried to return to play...still produce like you did, but now I want you to play like a rondo....and run a style of offense that you have never ran before

@vincent van ho I agree with that but in terms of the national media it seems like it's all eyes on him. like he will be blamed for any and all of houston's failures. will probably make it easier for his teammates tho, on and off court

just watched pti and rockets gm daryl morey was on their. tony kornheiser asked him what he felt the team's goals were for this season. morey said that they are hoping to get home court advantage in the first round and make it to the conference finals. realistic, yet hopeful goals i'd say.

Why is their goal to reach just the conf. finals?

Cavs are going to be one of my favorite teams next year

Kyrie, Bennett and Bynum :hat

Still don't like Waiters though, wish they took Barnes

did the nets have a press conference for our new acquisitions?

its been official for 3 days and still nothing shieeeet even the celtics had a struggle conference for the scrubs we gave them smh

i hate these nba websites man. they dont update the news or nothing. there was no mention of that big trade on the nets website last i checked few days ago lol

All 4 of the signings faces are on website. IMO that's enough of a mention.

The Nets will hold a press conference on Thursday at 12pm televised on ESPN and YES Network

That Celtics pic has the Hornets one beat by a mile. Going to be a very long year in Boston. Ainge should have done that sooner.

This Rockets group is for the future to contend. With Miami they had to win ASAP because of their 3 players and you know throwing the ultimate we will kick your ***** party

Interesting to see Eric Gordon in Vegas to support the Pelicans.

Being interviewed now, giving vanilla answers on how it should work out with Evans and Holiday. Says he just wants to play uptempo.

This year Rose is going to put up better numbers than his MVP season.
You're giving him AP goals.

he was supposed to be the next Kobe Bryant

The people that said that were delusional. :lol

Pretty laid back and good impartial take.

Ain't nobody even at that press conference :lol

Except the hard-hitting reporter in the backwards Hurley hat.

Why is their goal to reach just the conf. finals?

That's still Final Four.... (cue Dwight being corny telling Stephen A "the Final Four's in College Stephen A") which would be a hell of a way for this tandem to start out their next 5-8 years together, whatever it may be.

Aside from that even, just take a look at the West.

Pistons working sign and trade for Jennings? :eek :rollin please let that happen so Dumars finally gets fired.

See, every move since Darko.

That's why.

Ok, outside of Drummond, who he's likely chasing off with these moves.

Yeah outside of Monroe and Drummond, dude has done some weird stuff since putting together the title team.

Charlie V and Ben Gordon still gets me

The bricks being laid in Detroit between Drummond's free throws and Smith's, Stuckey's and Jennings' errant jumpers. :eek

I'd support Jennings to DET if they never got Josh Smith. Thats just a weird team now.
iuno it could possibly work...but it looks as if Detroit is turning into a hawks type of team...just good enough to one day maybe sooner then later be a bottom seed first round exit type of squad year in year out.
