John Wall just bought a 17,000+ square feet mansion with 8 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, 6 car garage, sauna, weight room, theatre, volleyball court, pool with a waterfall, and an indoor court for only 4.9million in Potomac, MD

He said he wanted to be able to comfortably accomodate his family. And really, it's "only" 5 million dollars, his almost 18 mil per yr for the next 5yrs extension kicks in this season.

Nothing wrong with spending 5 mill on a house. It's absurd and ridiculous, agreed, but athletes squander their money on worse possessions than a fortress for their family and friends.

exactly & he paid cash so its just bills & taxes
im sure hes moving some family right into the crib which prbly saves him $$$ in the long run ...one less mtg,utility bill etc to worry about paying for someone else
