Penny had a really high two year peak where had and Payton were prolly the best PG's in the league but it wasn't enough...even McGrady who had a short peak was better for a sustained length of time.

The BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME is based around your overall influence on basketball. Penny was at one time right behind MJ in popularity among guards. Almost all your favorite players were fans of Penny and have adapted certain areas of Penny's style to their play. He was a 6'7 PG/SG that was GREAT at one point. Only notable other was Magic. Penny, Grant, Tracy, Carter, A.I, Ray Allen and all the 00 greats will make the hall of fame.

Of course. He had an influence to on bringing international play to the NBA. He was a 7'0 Center than could pass and do things that Centers never did. He opened the way for folks like Toni, Manu, Pau, Dirk, Peja, and all of them to make it to the NBA. Thats good enough.I'm joking but seriously does that mean Divac is a HOF? horry's possible hof induction is compelling. he does not have the stats for it. however, horry earned his 7 rings. he was a key piece in every one of his championships and contributed to those teams in many games and ways. its not like he rode the bench the entirety of those championship runs. this is a great example of why stats only go so far when judging a players career.
