Not McCown. Although he does have two 300-yard passing games this season already, after only having two last year.

Cutler is probably the safe/conventional choice. Four 300-yard passing games last year. That was with Jeffery, Marshall, Bennett, Forte.

Bortles has thrown one 300-yard passing game in his career, and only has two multi-TD games this season.

Cutler is my first choice, Bortles second.

Standard league:

Dalton@home or Mariota@home this week?
Mariota. Buffalo allows nearly 298 passing YPG, good for fourth worst in the NFL currently. Surprising considering Gilmore is a lock-down corner, and Darby is showing promise as a FSU rookie. Mariota has thrown at least 2 TD in every game this season in his rookie year.

Just got offered Latavius Murray and James Jones for Sanders....0.5 PPR

What you guys think?

James Jones would be my WR2 behind Julio. Other than that I just have Cooks and Hurns.

RB's would be McCoy, Murray, Gurley, Woodhead, Jennings, Sproles and David Johnson
I guess trading Sanders makes some sense. It's damn near impossible for him to replicate his 2014 season. He wasn't really a TD boom player other than '14 (caught nine). His targets are trending down since the first two weeks, with DT averaging over 12+ targets per week. Manning's arm strength is in question and Kubiak constantly asserts that the running game is a priority.

The question remains are Jones and Murray enough value? In a PPR format, like you play, Jones is a TD dependent player. He's averaging (only) just over 4 catches per week. The 4 receiving TD is his saving grace. In terms of Murray, Gurley is your de facto RB1. He's that good and I warned people far in advance he would explode after the Steelers debut. Too lazy to dig for the exact quote. It matters how much you trust Shady to be a RB2, health issues and all. I'm split on Murray. He's had two good weeks and two bad ones. 4.4 YPC is a healthy average, but keep in mind he's never rushed for more than 82 rushes in a season (this being his second year). Can he handle the workload and will his efficiency go down as a result? He does get SD twice, which is porous as a team defending the run. But also Denver twice, stout against the run. And KC, above average in that department.

You make the trade if you think McCoy will not even return RB2 value rest of the season. If he can, you're fine with Gurley RB1 and Shady RB2 while keeping Sanders, a premium PPR player.

TY had some looks but drops.
I've noticed Hilton's had issues with drops. Feels like a concentration/focus thing.

My man, love the detail. Appreciate it.

I'm gonna drop Montgomery and add on Wallace.
Got your back. Our man Hurns cooking. No longer a well-kept secret.

The bright side about Wallace: He's enjoyed 8+ TD in four of his six complete NFL seasons. While missing one game in his entire career.

Anyone sitting Dalton and starting their backup? I picked up Bortles today, not sure who I want to start.
This is a major '15 test for Red Rifle. Could be a serious turning point if he plays well vs. Seattle's vaunted pass D. Has he really turned the corner, or is the hot start a mirage? I'm playing Bortles. I see three scenarios playing out for Dalton: Ugly, run-heavy, low-scoring affair. Dalton struggles and throws 2+ INT. Dalton comes through and throws 2+ TD like he has in three of four games against inferior competition. Scenario #2 is the worst case scenario. Scenario #3 is the best case scenario. Scenario #1 is most likely, a grinding-type game in Cincy.

Although Bortles only has one 300-yard passing game in his career and hasn't thrown an abundance of TD this year, I still like him Week 5 over Dalton based on match-up.

Coleman could easily have the starting job back in two games. Devonte Freeman is not good.
You're neglecting Freeman's pass-catching ability. Five catches per week with the yardage is no joke in PPR formats. His career YPC does create some cause for concern (small sample size in just over a year). Coleman is your more typical first down and second down runner.

Fellas...which one of these cats should I drop for TJ Yeldon..if any: Gio, Mike Evans, Tevin Coleman (scared to let go), Hillamn, McCoy, or Martvius Bryant.
Yeldon needs to be added. He's a moderate RB2, with little to no challenges in J-Ville for reps. I would keep Coleman, the injury was untimely and Freeman has run away with the starting job. But what I saw at Indiana, indicates Coleman can and will handle a NFL workload. Hillman is pushing C.J. more and more, who is inevitably looking like a RB1, first round bust. Gio is ripping off 5.5 YPC as Hill endures a sophomore slump of sorts. Also caught 99 balls in his first two full seasons.

In conclusion, I would drop Bryant and add Yeldon. It's highly unlikely Bryant catches 8 TD again, receiving touchdowns can be fluky and difficult to repeat unless you're a Megatron-type elite WR talent. 21 YPC also very unlikely to be repeated. He caught just over half his targets, but 26 receptions over ten games is not a high rate for PPR formats mathematically. Who knows when Big Ben will return.

with that said (PPR)
karlos prob ain't playing so...

flex:
Tate
Sproles
Aiken
Royal
CJ2K
CJ2K.

start Antonio gates or Tyler Eifert this week ?
Gates.

Devonta for damaryius? (PPR)
DT side is winning in a major way. Freeman's back-to-back 3 TD games is obviously unsustainable. Coleman is legit enough to challenge for early-down carries. What will be sustainable is Freeman's pass-catching. Thomas is proven and Manning is looking his way 12+ times weekly.

Saw your next post about adding Kelce. I would make the DT owner add a RB3 or his starting TE. Kelce is going to challenge for top-3 fantasy TE by season's end.

Welp, it looks like Andre Johnson may actually begin to come alive. Too bad I didn't start him. Haha.

Pick one:

CJ Anderson
Ronnie Hillman
Doug Martin
Martin appears to be the popular/right play, but Sims is seeing a lot of snaps and J-Ville is quietly 4th best against the run in yardage (83 YPG allowed on the ground). Anderson has lost my trust completely, I don't see a turnaround happening soon. Hillman gets the start, sneaky Flex play in Week 5. TD in each of his last two games while ripping nearly 5 yards per carry this season.

Welp, it looks like Andre Johnson may actually begin to come alive. Too bad I didn't start him.
At least you didn't drop him like some. Still feel Dre has WR3/Flex value, although the top-35 to top-40 preseason overall fantasy ranking was far too high. He won't catch a lot of TD though, understandably motivated for Houston last night.

I was just offered Todd Gurley and Jordan Matthews for my Antiono Brown in a 12 team PPR
Depth is pretty crucial in 12-team leagues, but your starting RB situation is OK with Forsett and Ivory. You don't really lack for a RB1 or RB2. Trading Brown weakens your WR corps significantly. It'd be easier to approve that offer if Cooks was playing well, but he's not. Far from it. Matthews has upside, but he's not quite in WR1 territory in year 2. The tempting aspect is Gurley. Trading for him could make him your best RB instantly, in terms of season-long view. He has more upside than Forsett and Ivory. I would generally accept an offer like this, but I can't accept the fact it leaves you so weak at WR and hopefully Ben is back sooner than later.

Hopkins is a bad man..
Catches everything, hands right up there with Fitz. Took a stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalty though.

colts defense is atrocious
Warned NTers not to be baited by the Houston match-up. The defense and OL in Indy is below average.

anyone take a risk with Jaelen Strong?
He's going to be a solid long-term #2 WR option next to Nuk for years to come. Very good player at ASU.

Someone offered me CJ Spiller for Michael Crabtree in my keeper league (Wr/Wr/Rb/Rb/Flex)

My other RBS and WRS:

Forte
Melvin Gordon
Isaiah Crowell
Joique Bell

Alshon Jeffrey
Mike Wallace
MIchael Crabtree
Andre Johnson
Steve Johnson
Kamar Aiken

Thoughts?
I'm making that trade in a heartbeat. Crabby's a decent WR3 option, but he's only caught 5 TD the past two seasons (prior to '15 of course). Spiller's pass-catching role is only going to increase in New Orleans. Payton and Brees feed RBs in the passing game, no matter who it is. Receptions have to be made up with Stills and Jimmy gone. Thus Snead's impact, etc. Spiller's getting healthier and he's a scary sight on turf.

Latavius mUrray vs broncos?
Not a top-15 fantasy RB in Week 5.

Start Dalton vs the Seahawks orrrr.....

Pickup Bradford vs Saints, Bortles vs Bucs or Cutler vs Chiefs?
Sam Bradford. He's been such a slow starter, the Eagles have been as a whole, but showed signs of life vs. Washington. Agholor started to get involved. New Orleans' secondary is a favorable match-up at home in Philly.

My second favorite option is Cutler. Bortles third, Dalton last this week.

Just traded away Cam Newton for Peyton.
Not a bad idea. Cam has surpassed everyone's expectations, and is due for some regression without Benjamin. I mean he's had two games with 3+ total TD throwing exclusively to Ginn and Olsen. That has to catch up to Carolina eventually.

Peyton has the weapons despite declining arm strength.

Who gets the sit this week, PPR.

Megatron vs Ari
Keenan vs Pit
Cobb vs Stl
Sanders @ Oak
Megatron sits. Doesn't have a 100-yard game this season. Only 1 TD. Detroit's in shambles, in general.

Joseph randle or Ronnie hillman
Hillman, good chance he nabs a TD vs. Oakland. Randle almost fumbled on the goal line vs. Saints, and was ineffective for much of the game anyway.

champcruthik champcruthik Mike Evans vs Jax or Yeldon vs TB (standard) .... Also how do you feel about the Chiefs D vs the Bears?
Tricky one. Jameis seems to like V-Jax better. 26 targets vs. Titans and vs. Panthers. Evans only had 3/32 last week against Carolina, 0 TD on the season in three games. Yeldon has his first 100-yard game of the season. Grabs 2-3 catches per week steadily. J-Ville's in the bottom third for pass YPG allowed, while Tampa is 3rd worst in rush YPG allowed (137).

On paper, Yeldon is the play. But my intuition says Evans might go off for 7/101/1 to remind us last year wasn't a fluke. Is there a way to start both?

Kansas City should be a top-10, maybe top-8 DEF this week. Don't force a lot of takeaways, but first in the league in sacks (19), second in FF, and tied for third in fumble recoveries.

Ended up dealing Cobb/Cruz

Recieved Freeman/Karlos/Cooks
I'm not crazy about trading Cobb, but you are buying Cooks low who was supposed to challenge for WR1 consideration. Karlos Williams is a player I feel will lose significant efficiency (YPC) as his volume goes up. He's more suited as a specialist on the goal line to punch in short TDs. All depends on Shady's injury of course. Freeman you're buying high on after 6 TD in three weeks. I'd be weary of Coleman as a threat.

any updates on Roethlisberger?
I have a feeling Ben returns 10/25 at Arrowhead, which is optimistic. More likely 11/1 vs. Bengals.

Would anyone give up Doug Martin for Lamar Miller?
14 carries the last two weeks is low as it gets for Miller, who was supposed to be a back-end RB1 this season if not better. He has 0 total TD to compound matters. Martin is coming off a great all-around game vs. Carolina, but I think he'll struggle (perhaps unexpectedly) vs. Jags. Better run D than casual NFL fans know.

You guys think Brandon LaFell will return 100% this season?
New England is being very vague with LaFell's injury. He hasn't practiced in ages, but the Pats are very thin at WR after Edelman. If he can play/be healthy, the reps/targets will be there. He's eligible to return like Week 7 or Week 8, but doubt he'll be game-speed ready/productive until Week 10-ish.

Hill or Hyde this week?
Hyde.

Pick 2 (PPR)

Hurns @TB
Jennings vs SF
Hankerson vs WSH
Harvin @TENN
Hank and Hurns, if they both suit up and are full-go.

Jennings just hasn't been effective on the ground. Hasn't surpassed 52 rushing yards all season. The 2 total TD are his saving grace thus far.

.5 ppr pick one

Hillman vs raiders
CJ vs Raiders
John Brown vs Det
I like Hillman this week, I really do. Brown had the most catches/yardage of the season for him vs. STL, but Fitz's resurgence waters down Brown's stock a bit. I thought he was going to be a 1,000-yard, double-digit TD guy. I don't know anymore, not as confident with that prediction.

C.J. is awful. Sub-3 YPC, not a pass-catcher. The value is minimal there. He's lucky Hillman isn't a better pass protector.
