LeBron would hide on defense all the time. Has nothing to do with being a good defender or not.

Yeah Lebron, Kobe, MJ ain't always guard the best player but when have they ever been targeted and taken out in certain situations? With Steph it does have to do with him not being a good defender. We've seen it over and over.

Theres a difference between hiding on defense & your coach purposely assigning you to worst offensive perimeter player on the other team so you wont get killed out there lol

Word, the great Nash :lol

Speaking of Nash..let's say HYPOTHETICALLY, prime
Nash played for the current Warriors instead of Steph. Man I'd pay big money to see how they'd look

They would score 200 points in a single game

steph is a capable defender. he's no avery bradley, but the kid can hold his own. there aren't that many two-way full time pgs. making kerr's substitution bigger than what it really is. obviously, if there is a better defender and you have a chance to sub in/out at the end of gm, you do it

Capable of what?

gsw with nash scoring 200?? nash suddenly better than curry in their primes? didn't yall learn anything last season when you were talkin wreckless about dame > curry :lol

these dudes stay overreacting to meaningless regular season games. cavs won by only one point with kyrie and lebron each playing 40+ mins. steph, kd, dray all played 38 mins or less. this is chess not checkers, Steve Kerr knows.

Steph is a GOOD defender but if you're in a situation where you want to switch PNRs instead of trapping them and giving up an open 3, you go with Livingston every single time who could comfortable guard 1-3. It's really not that complicated.

THIS
gm/time situation. you have a chance to put your best defensive lineup in for key situation, you do it. steph was going to be back in after cavs offensive play
it's another thing if they didnt have a timeout and had to go right after. acting like steph was sitting out a long stretch of the gm because of his "lack" of defense :lol

Something tells me Steph will light it up next game while playing solid D. He usually bounces back strong after a bad game. and this game was bad, you know you did bad if coach puts you on the spot.

I have that feeling also. I feel like Kerr wanted to test out how the team play making Durant the go to guy.

Lolwut? He's been that guy all season. He's the best player on the team.

Saw the Cavs are getting washed by the Pistons and was surprised, but now I see Bron took another night off on the road.

It was pretty funny seeing a couple dudes in here go hard saying curry was an elite defender, citing analytics of course. He's decent but calling him a defender is kinda like calling a guy like Blake Griffin a shooter. Yea he can hit the midrange but when you NEED a bucket that's not really the shot you want

Can't believe it took people this long to figure that out :lol

Cavs with a hangover game. :lol

Also, Kyrie's reputation will be totally different if it weren't for LeBron. It all turned around after last year's finals. I give him props for growing as a leader this year and playing team ball. He is the perfect complimentary player to LeBron.

Ding ding ding. If u got a 6'7 dude that can guard 3 positions, wouldn't u put him in over a 6'2 guy that can only guard pgs. They made the right call but anything anti gs they gonna grab pom poms and run with it.

Even as a warriors fan, i somewhat agree with this. However even you look at Cleveland's defense there's no one besides lebron who's that imposing so it's hard to believe that he's that shook by them

All that being said, folx in here acting like thy cavs just won the championship in December..relax, we're only 30 games into the season and last time i checked, these so-called "beta boys" had the best record in the nba.
Cleveland always plays curry hard and the defenders make him work hard for his shot. I hate the Warriors but it's only one game. curry gonna go off eventually. It's just a matter of time. Props to Cleveland tho. I thiight the dubs would blow them out

None of them ever made 6 straight finals though nor had to do as much for their team LeBron has. Just saying

Yea none of them ever had to lead their team in damn near every statistical category just to squeeze a game 7 win, nor did they have the capability to do so. Lebron really is the GOAT.
