The NBA Season Thread's 1st Contest
- I plan on running contests and raffles throughout this NBA season for our "beloved" members in the thread. I'm open to suggestions throughout the season, and there will be random raffles each month.
- First up, we're going to do a MS Paint contest. Submit your best/worst efforts on anything NBA related from this past season or upcoming season. Want to draw D'Angelo snitching on teammates? Go for it. Lebron with the chase down block? Yup. Dwight Howard finding new baby mama's in a new city? Sounds good. Whatever you want, post it in the thread and we can all take a vote on which one we like best. Winner and runner-ups will get a prize for their efforts.
I'll take submissions until the end of the week or until they stop coming in.
Let's see what we got.

I think the top SG talk was from a few pages back when peple were naming the top 5 SG's in the NBA right now
at some of last season's survey answers -- most underrated offseason acquisition: Ty Lawson, David West, Paul Pierce :xMarc went from best center in the NBA and best interior defender to barely making it after an injured season

It sucks how AD is becoming non existent with the emergence of KAT.
The KAT hype is almost as high as AD's hype a few seasons ago. I just hope he can stay away from the injuries, which is basically what hurt AD (no pun).

he is off a to a great start in that category. Played in all 82 as a rook, while AD hasn't been able to play 70 games in any season.
AD hype was unreal tho during/after his 2nd season

Probably because the last few seasons, he's been in the press too much for talking about another man's contract and butting heads with his backcourt mate. Meanwhile, you have PG's out there better than him just playing ball. He has undeniable talent, but he still has weaknesses in his game that he needs to improve on that still keeps him outside of the top 3 or 4 easily.
Considering his usage rate when compared to PG's with similar to higher usage rate as him (Steph, Lillard, Westbrook, Lil Zeke), his numbers are not just shattering. 10apg in 36mpg -- still 5th among PG's when factoring per 36 (Rubio, Rondo, Russ, CP3). Then he's right at the top in turnovers per game with Russ, who he's not even really close to competing with in terms of overall ability. I'll say people talk about Wall just about enough.
I guess he deserves some recognition as best passer since the same guys that's listed ranks right up there with him in assists. I just don't John Wall "the player" is really being overlooked too much.

John Wall has become criminally underrated
It's ridiculous....dude gets no respect.
Although my hopes aren't too high for the Wizards this year, I hope they prove me wrong and Wall elevates his game even more so people will finally notice just how good he is.
