He's already ahead of Russ IMO. Him and Kawhi are neck and neck. If LeBron went for it he could average a triple double for a season.

Nah. Bron is 4th at best. As for averaging a triple double nah. He'd have done it already back when he was in his stat checking peak.

I have LeBron ahead of Wesbrook on my MVP ladder. Westbrook is fourth.

But I stopped being invested in this award about a week ago. The mainstream media has created this swirl of hot takes around it that is unbearable.

For those who think Russ is the MVP what's the cut off for wins and losses to be eligible for the award in your personal opinions?

Is simply going 42-40 for example good enough or does the team record not matter at all?

Is it just me or could GSW actually benefit from giving Zaza 30mpg right now?

I mean he's the 2nd or 3rd best contributor when he is on the floor.

Defense is top notch right now too.

Just me or nah?

The unwritten criteria is what separates the NBA MVP from all other sports MVPs

It's the reason that every MVP winner is A HOF or will be, with Rose being the only one you can make an argument against.

zaza is turrrrrible

only problem is the warriors bench is trash so they cant do no better

Historically it's been 50 wins. They're on pace for 46-48 now. There's no historical precedent for him to win it, but idk I got a feeling he is. Especially with how the team success is directly tied to him getting these triple doubles. OKC goes from having the best winning percentage in the league when he gets one, to a top 3 lottery team when he doesn't.

Hardens beard is all about these new advanced stats. He even used hem when discussing the 2001 sixers.

I think y'all are underestimating how him averaging a triple double will be a trump card for some voters. Take Chris Broussard today who says if he averages a triple double he gets his 1st place vote, but if he averages 9.9 he will likely vote Harden. The historical aspect is a wild card we haven't seen in modern times.
