no. being effective off of screens is a skill, playing off the ball is a skill. not everyone can do it. melo cant.

i remember a twolves game and lebron burned tayshaun on a play and that commentator said

yeah thats a bad trade scenario. players will take notice if we continue improving and play better. if we build it up , someone will come eventually. no need to gut the franchise when we so young and not even in a position to try and win now.

We're a middling team now without a star, being a middling team (at worst case) with a star is better b/c stars wanna play with other stars. We'd still be better than Sacramento and have a nucleus of Ingram, Nance, Zu, and Clarkson to build around.
