He had Draymond for 2 seasons

had Andre for 1 season. Kerr has done a hell of a job. Y'all don't underrate coaching so much
I'm not underrating Kerr. I think he's a hell of a coach. I said it.

But I hate when people act like Kerr and Marc Jackson had the same exact team....Kerr brought a better offensive system to an already good one, had his players be healthy, lucked into Draymond (Kerr had no intention of starting Dray), and had his guys naturally improve. They're running Marc Jackson's defense.

Kerr improved upon an already good foundation. He deserves all the credit for that. But this notion that Marc Jackson "held GSW back" is not entirely true.
I wrote this in the Laker thread when Jackson's name came up.

Quote:

How? I really hate this argument.

Sure Mark did some good things, but he ultimately held them back.

Their jump in wins from the 2013-2014 season to the 2014-2015 season was probably one of the biggest if not the biggest jumps in the wins column for any team in history.

They went from something like 12th in offensive rating to 1st in offensive rating. That's a ridiculous jump, with the same players. They went from being a team with one of the least amount of passes overall in the season to one of the most in a season.

The improved defensively too.

Sure it's fair to say the players got better, but you could use that same exact argument to say that's the reason Jackson improved GS record. The players got better/matured. It still doesn't explain how big of a leap the team made (12th to 1st in offense).

Mark Jackson probably will never get a job with a NBA team again I'm serious. His best shot is with the Kings or some team that is really undesirable.

Edit: I totally forgot. They went from losing in the first round to the clippers to a NBA championship. I'm done.

Sure Jackson did some good things, but Kerr is far far far away the superior coach. Funny the Kings got a pretty decent coach though after all the perceived instability there.

Kerr >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jackson.

that play they ran out of the timeout where steph drove it in and dished it out to a wide open Barnes for the clutch 3 was beautiful. Mark Jackson would have never drawn up a play like that as a coach. he would have told curry to call for a screen and just jack up a 3, (which honestly isn't a bad option) but still, that's the type of coach he is.

Missed another amazing performance from Steph. :{

FML.

gotta dvr my g. that's what i did. just finished watching a bit ago. And I just avoided everything so they wouldnt spoil the outcome. So I can cheer while i watch. Just like real time. Game was unbelievable. Curry is New Mamba. Son is Legend.

Kerr learned from the best (Pop and Phil Jackson)

The Klay Thompson post up was good in spurts, he just ran it way too much.

Where is this Marc thing coming from.
