Only reason he went so cheap at the deadline is because the Magic got desperate

The Magic made it clear they weren’t gonna deal him to us unless Frank was going back to them

At worst he would've been a good back up PG going into the future. He's young and super talented.

Def better than Mudiay.

But if it would've taken giving up Frank, I get why the front office passed.

@mattspendley Frank Ntilikina allows just 0.64 points per possession when defending the ball handler in pick-and-roll scenarios. That puts him in the 91st percentile of all NBA players and first among players that have over 150 defensive possessions against the PnR.

He's already a near elite defender. His instincts are great for any player, let alone a 19 year old kid.

Once he learns how to use his length & cut back on the stupid fouls (like Porzingis did) he'll be even better.

If Frank becomes our defensive specialist on the perimeter and can develop a respectful 3 point shot, I'm cool with it.

I just need us to get into the top 5/6 or make that jump and get one of these kids. I'll take whatever we can get.
