Official 2017-2018 Knicks season thread

His style won’t work anymore. He was a defensive coach that relied on physicality and grind it out ball. A team like that gets burned into today’s nba with today’s rules alone because you can’t be physical with players anymore.

See Thibodeau, Tom

See Thibodeau, Tom

Yea hasn’t gotten past the second round ever if I’m not wrong. Not to mention he kills his players by making them play 40+ minutes per game. He’s a better assistant than a head coach.

Now if he coached back in the 90s he could really implement that defense the way it should be run.

speaking of coaching, why not bring back JVG?
:lol

This idea comes up every now and then.

JVG is currently coaching the G/D league players so America can qualify for the Olympic team.

Maybe some of that might drive him to get back to NBA coaching.

Supposedly the Bucks top candidate too.

I just cant see our current FO looking for the next Bud, Snyder, etc. If that was the case I'd assume they hire our G League coach.

Hearing Monty Williams (part of Spurs FO now) is a strong candidate here.

JVG is smart enough and a hard enough worker to figure it out. If JVG ever wanted to come back he's choice #1 for me all day every day.

Only 2 games left in the season (both against Cleveland) so let's not forget the best moment of the 2017-18 Knicks season.

Beasley hitting a 3 on his first shot as a Knick, coming down wrong and limping, and then calling for the ball on the next possession was pretty ******* epic.
