Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

**** phil I hope Dolan fires him. Stop trying to trade Melo and push us further into a rabbit hole. You're not getting the Brooklyn pick so no trade is gonna make us better. Egotistical piece of **** can't win without two hall of famers.

We're going to stink for a long time folks.

KP already getting worn down by the toxicity.

Dolan finally got out of the way but he gave the franchise to a hardheaded, egomaniac with outdated ideas.

I see no path to contention in the foreseeable future.

No way we get back anywhere close to equal value for Carmelo.

I see a historic fleecing coming, that'll set us back another 4 years.

We are never going to win with Melo though

We're never gonna win without Melo either

Any of you guys think that Phil will be shown the door at the end of this season? IF he moves Melo, you guys trust him to oversee the rebuild? Gotta trim the fat...both on and off the court.

Porzingis is a special talent...can't waste his time surrounding him with crap.

It's okay to have your favorite player traded.
Melo deserves a ring. Don't you think?
Melo is more than deserving to go chase his ring. I'm a Knicks fan before a fan of any player. There is no scenario where we trade Melo and get equal value back so I rather have him rot here and rebuild in the process. The Knicks waited 2 years too long to trade him. It really makes no sense to me to trade hi now. We're tanking fine with him on the team

Isn't Phil close to the end of his contract?

And he's blowing the team up for the 2nd time and trying another rebuild?

He needs to be shown the door.

He'll probably resign Rose, skip on all of the great college PG prospects and draft another forward that conflicts with KP's role.

He's never been PG-centric but and that's where the league is now.

Wait are they basically offering him to the Clips with the core untouched? **** why not, i'd love to see Melo help them take out GSW.

Dolan still outta touch gonna re sign Phil

You know what scares me to death, if Melo gets traded and all of a sudden we start winning games, and start playing at an elite level, then all of a sudden the dark horse is melo and it was his fault that we wasnt winning, and thats not what i want, because i truly believe melo wanted to win as a Knick.

I think so too.

Honestly, this all feels like a clash of personalities. Phil isn't a fan of Melo and wants to push him out. He's done everything he can at this point to incite it as well. It's a real shame too, because Melo did/does want to win here in NYC. He was the only player in the league with balls to be open about it and take the heat.
