I like the trade if it is true and happens because Melo deserves it, dude had the Knicks on his back for the longest and the organization never really helped him in terms of talent on the court and on the bench as far as a coach. It sucks for the knicks though because I don't trust Harrison Barnes. He to me is equivalent to Chandler Parsons, a flash here and there, but mostly fluff, both had one awesome season once, and been mediocre at best. How'd the line go... "had a spark when you started but now you just garbage...." I like the move for Seth, I think he can be solid, nowhere near his brother's level, but solid. He will not ever be worse than J Lin. Plus, he'd be the best sibling of a star that the Knicks picked up, better than Chris Smith and Thanasis, although I thought Thanasis needed time. Anyway, the tank has to roll on if this is true, and this has to be KP and Billy's team now, not later, but now. When it comes time for KP to re-up, pay that man. This trade, should it happen doesn't have to be a bad thing going forward, like I have legit optimism going forward. Imagine if despite all of the negative stuff as of late if the Knicks can land one, just 1 legit free agent, just one plus a decent top #10 pick, the future can be closer than we think and the rebuild won't be horrible.
