But have you seen Barnes' contract? Aren't we building for the future? Y'all think HB is built to stand the kitchen heat that is the NY media? He's cooking right now as a sous chef, but he's going to have the same title but more entrees to cook here in NY. It'll be an utter failure, he's stock will drive down and we won't be able to move him. He's owed like $100m till 2020. Oh, and that last year is a player option. This had Gerald Wallace written all over it.

Melo sounds like a fool if he believes what he saying. One thing to laugh at him attracting FAs here when he hasn't been able to for years but it's an even bigger joke wanting to play with broken down Wade and still wanting CP3 when they blew their chances in 2012.

Trade is fake and wont happen anyway. But hypothetically speaking, Barnes was a 4th option on a championship team. If KP is capable of being a 2nd or 3rd option, plus if either of the two top 10 picks we have end up being an all star, dont you think we'd be heading in the right direction?
Sign me up for Barnes 100 mill instead of Noah's current contract (which is 1000x harder to get rid of) any day of the week.

Where is your thinking at? Obtaining Barnes isn't for the future. You think as soon as we get picks we're in championship mode all of the sudden? Who TF cares if we get Barnes for the next four years? You're not looking big picture by thinking Barnes is supposed to be here and become some sort of championship piece. HE'S NOT
