Referring to last season

Getting buckets when the threat of LeBron looms on the court is easier than the defense focusing on you in the 4th

That's easy to say but it can only open UP the opportunity, Kyrie had to make those shots.

See KD/Russ vs the same team but instead of down 3-1 they were up 3-1. They were as ISO heavy and blew the 3-1 lead against the same team Kyrie overcame a 3-1 deficit, to win it ALL, think about that.

Russ didn't have Lebron but he had KD( the guy folks now say is best in the World only a season later) and KD opened up those ISO, Russ opened up those KD ISO, but you have to execute the ISO, neither Russ or KD could, Kyrie did.

Lebron helps, as I said...but you have to give most of that credit to Kyrie.

Kyrie Ast/100 p 7.7 8.9
Kyrie Reb/100 p 4.1 5.2

Biggest thing I see is that the Cavs offense falls off a cliff with Myrie and no Bron.

Don't know if that's a testament to Bron's greatness or Myrie not being able to run a team.

He's gonna fall hard

Woke up to the news and all I could think about was coming on NT to witness the ****show.

All I care about is I'll get to see Kyrie in person :pimp:

You guys must be on bath salts with this Celtics/Wizards are even stuff. Wizards have one of the worst benches in the NBA.

Stats like this are very misleading. Also why you need to take the Cavs W/L sans Lebby with a grain of salt. The Cleveland Cavaliers offense is entirely built around LeBron James.

It's going to be fun seeing Myrie in an actual offense with actual plays. And not just having to see him bail out Lebby in an iso play.

I would add that Kyrie is capable of being merely mediocre on defense. IT has and always will be a glaring liability you have to be aware of.
Stevens made a nifty adjustment so teams couldn't just target him in the pnr, I assume Lue will copy so the problem with this logic is that IT is never going to be guarding anyone worth a damn off the bounce or in post-up situations.

If you want to force feed 1 of your worst options on the floor, go ahead. That's not how you would normally run your offense so you just disrupt your offensive rhythm and take shots away from your stars chasing a "mis-match."

Beyond that, kyrie is 6'3" w/ a medicore wingspan & isn't a freak athlete. he doesn't have much defensive versatility either, doesn't care about that end of the floor at all so I'm not even sure why we're talking about defense with these two :lol

Make sure yall shame the Celtics for doing business with a team that has JUST eliminated them from the playoffs this past year. I expect a lot of, "But that is different"

Yeah I was. He only played a game and a half I think lol

I'd have to look and see what Zeke did prior to the Cavs series but for the post part he's been inefficient his entire playoff career. W/o looking though, it looked like he had a great series against Washington however.

Where as Kyrie hasn't. Granted, Kyrie plays with Lebron but he's always been one of the league's best halfcourt scorers, and for me that skill come playoff time is why i'm taking Kyrie over Zeke.
His performances in the finals were legendary, particularly that game 5 in Golden State last year. Maybe, what, 4-5 guys in the whole league coulda gave you THAT performance in THAT situation.

That being said, for Kyrie's entire playoff career, he's had LeBron on the floor at all times. For Isiah, he's been the only creator w/ the exception of Al Horford last year who still doesn't compare to having Bron out there :lol It's apples & oranges. We can't really make any concrete conclusion there.
