We're going to pretend like people weren't saying that about the Heat now, cool I'll give you those sources which I wasn't very familiar with but I'm pretty sure even you heard people call the Heat a top 3 pick. I remember multiple on NT alone

That's why I asked you who said it. I don't remember. It was pretty much consensus that PHX, BKYN, LAL, PHI were going to be the worst teams in the league before last season. Miami only lost Wade.

Heat are a better team than the Bucks.
You have to take coaching and system into consideration, Heat kill Bucks in both.

Celtics will win the East again.

These two teams deserve more Love than they are getting.
Kyrie+Gordon together is going to be unreal.
Kyrie will also be in the MVP consideration.

Ok

Giannis is a star on the cusp of superstardom. Miami doesn't have one. Dragic and Whiteside both played 70+ games and still missed the playoffs. Unless you have that much faith in Dion in a non contract year now.

Buc' em's the only solid name I can name from, calling Ducktales on you not remembering it but it's cool. Already've invested too much time on this

This is actually a solid point.

Did Miami have a star when they went 30-11 or were they just finally healthy. Somehow under the same conditions they will get worse while other teams get better. It is what it is

Miami caught lightning in a bottle 2nd half of the season.

I do not expect them to sustain that level of play over the full course of this season...even if fully healthy. I do have them in as a 6-8 seed because of what happened to Chicago, Atlanta, and Indiana.

What impact player for them wasn't healthy besides Dion for the vast majority of the season though? Whiteside, Dragic, James Johnson, Tyler Johnson all played 70 plus games. Is Josh Richardson going to make that much of a difference as opposed to Kris Middleton for MIL only playing in 29 games last season or whatever the Bucks get out of Jabari? Not a believer in Winslow, he's been pretty awful.

Winslow was hurt for a while? Not sure if that actually helped James Johnson emerge though.

Regardless, they are a 6-8 seed that will win 42-45 games.

Ok you're twerking the goalposts here. First they wouldn't be good because they lacked a superstar then when I point out the flaw in that it becomes some other reason.

Again with Middleton and bari healthy the bucks still weren't that good, but somehow they'll be better while the heat have to be worse. It is what it is

Let's see in the games Dion played Miami went 27-19 (.586), with Josh Richardson they went 23-30 (.433)

With the Bucks, when Kris played MIL went 19-10 (.655) and with Bari they went 22-29 (.431).

Difference was Miami played with more of their full compliment of guys including Dion and Josh in addition to the other guys I mentioned before that all played 70 games. Bari and Kris played 1 game together.

And as I said before it's as much about Greek being a budding superstar. Miami had more consistent health than Milwaukee did with their top guys and still finished behind them.

The part I don't get is why won't the heat sustain the pace they had with Dion..how do we know he's not a budding superstar as well
