I agree. No way would I buyout Melo with that amount of money on his deal.
Speaking of buyouts, Josh Smith is still on the pistons cap for almost 6 million next year

Under no circumstances should the Knicks buy Carmelo out.
Silly af so he walks to the cavs and set up a power team for the next 2-4 years. And get his money.
If you're gonna get paid you're gnna work for that money let him stay here.
He's not stat or drose that's gnna just sit out due to injury. Foh Phil
Trade Melo and Noah for Tristan Thompson and Klove.
Joakim would fail his physical on purpose before he becomes a Cav.
Bron bout to be a grandfatherWelp
not understanding the pic of Tristan and KK

That new generationI still don't understand why people comment "dad" on celebrities social media posts
It's not a guarantee he makes it to the cavs with a buyout. He'd still have to clear waivers. One of the reasons you probably ain't seeing Melo agree to a buyout.
I'm sure his agent will make a power play and discourage teams from claiming him. I haven't researched, but I'm curious how many teams even have enough cap space to claim Melo's salary. It's not as much as the money. It's you're gifting lebron another chip.

Yeah can't he be signed to basically any team in the league with cap space if he gets bought out? I can't see contenders with cap space passing on trying to get him for cheap
