Steph Curry will be competing again much sooner than expected. It was announced Wednesday that the Golden State Warriors point guard will compete in the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae, Aug. 3-6. "Golf has always been a passion of mine," he said in a statement. "It's a dream come true to get the chance to play inside the ropes amongst the pros in a PGA Tour-sanctioned tournament." Curry, who plays to a 0.6 handicap, will retain his current amateur status for the tournament.

What a pity, Knicks could've gotten DNS JR.

He would've balled out in NY.

NY is better off without Phil, but that's not saying much.

Phil knew what he was doing the whole time to push them to get rid of him while still paying him

Do nothing and get paid millions. They don't tink like he tinks

I like CP3 and think they are close, but Harden is a far superior scorer and their passing is pretty similar. Chris obviously has him on the defensive end, but he can really only guard other smaller PGs. It just doesn't make sense to take the ball out of Harden's hands, which is what you'd be doing if you brought him in.

Agree on most points, CP's a much more careful ballhandler tho. if him and Harden could co-exist, that part of his game would really benefit Harden. Harden has an underrated off-ball game which he hasn't gotten to display since OKC. I think BG would be the better fit but elite talent usually figures it out so either one would be cool to see

People also want to forget Knicks were one of the top teams in the east for the first part of last season, they went on a little skid, then Phil forced the triangle and they never recovered.
This is true.

That first part of the season, Hornacek ran mostly his fast tempo, floor spacing and high screens to accommodate his players.

And for anyone to blame the Knicks players for being who they were last season, really didn't understand that there was no way ANY players were going to excel in NY with Phil taking control at every curve.

Maybe he drove the price up because he didnt actually want to take the job, but I'm not buying the rhetoric that Phil didnt care and just finesed the Knicks for 60 mill.

Phil has a very old school and stubborn mindset. Once he took thej job, ofcourse he wanted to put the work in to produce a winning product. The fact that his method wasnt working and he was still forcing it down the organization was where all this went wrong. A good competent GM adjusts to the landscape of the NBA, which Phill was completely against doing. It was a snowball effect after that.

Phil may have cared at first but after he figured out they were screwed he took a route of certain termination
