The Chris Petersen thing is weird because people "who know" keep mentioning that and it makes no sense to anyone. The only explanation - and i have no inside info on this - I could guess is that he has some connection to USC that made him interested in the first place and that whoever or whatever that is, is still influencing it.
That said, because McMurphy posted it, it's probably Clay.
Extra: Confirmed that Lynn told the coaches Clay would be retained at a meeting Tuesday night. Lines up with the timeline everyone else is saying about how the tide changed on Wednesday night.
