That last OKC/spurs series was KDs

Had money on the spurs in that series. They almost won 70 that year. Felt great after G1, but then Durant outplayed him for the rest of the series. It wasn’t particularly close.

I still have issues putting them on the same tier after that.

That was also his last healthy playoff run. We’ll see how much he’s improved since then but when the lights were their brightest he topped out at 23ppg. That ain’t it.

I think the problem with this lets go crazy on threes thing is that most teams don't have the personnel for it.

Got a bunch of 6'9+ dudes out here standing at the three line despite them being below average shooters.

My point is that taking all those 3's isn't the best way to utilize an offense, when you don't have great three point shooters. When you have players literally in game action refusing to take good open shots to try & get a three it's gone too far, when you have a WIDE OPEN lay up & instead you have people leaking out for spot up threes it's gone too far.

Great your "PER" will look better, your "Advanced Stats" will look better... but some of these guys gotta ask themselves if it's Really making their team better.

06-07 the spurs were a top 5 team in 3 pt shooting categories.

They were middle of the pack in attempts in their last title run but lead the league in percentage
