Considering we’ve both been playing well since the deal why can’t it be that it was the perfect trade for both of us? I said this right when the trade happened.
But it wasn't the perfect trade for both parties.

First of all I don't trust the snake to honor his verbal agreement to sign with the sixers in the summer

Right now he's happy with the team. Until he hits. His first roadblock. And then all bets are off.

I don’t doubt that he really does dislike how reliant teams are on the 3 now, but yeah, I can’t see him publicly complaining about the state of the game if his team was like 17-4 or something...
His team just got demolished by the t wolves

I would be upset too

Adjust for pace and scoring is still up all around the league. Not a single team under 100 per 100 possessions. I don’t see the problem.

I need examples of guys jacking up wild shots instead of taking open 2s. Nearly all the PNR guys shoot mid range jumpers except for Harden. He’s his own alien.

I don’t want my role players not taking open 3s or not relocating 3s. I don’t want you messing up the floor spacing cause you want to spot up at 18 ft. Nope

The Wolves have been built around a couple of soft dudes he didn’t like. The only way he leaves Philly this offseason is if WE decide to look elsewhere, and that doesn’t look likely. In this case if we move Fultz for pieces that expire after this season then we’ll have room for another max free agent on top of Jimmy, Embiid and Ben.

Trading 2's for 3's is just a numbers game.

Besides, it's not like the best teams in the league abandon the midrange and abandon going to the rim. They just take more 3's, which is fine. I don't think it's come close to reaching an insane tipping point or whatever.

The Warriors best scorers all use the midrange. Last year, the Rockets got to the WCF in large part because their 2nd (& at times best) best player was able to take and make midrange shots.

The Clippers have a top 5 offense this year in large part because both Tobias and Gallo are automatic midrange shooters. You can't win w/o the midrange shot.

KD, Klay, Kyrie, Dame, CJ, a lot of your best scorers still use the midrange, they just know how valuable the 3 is.

Damn, just typed this out almost :lol but yeah it's not like your best players avoid the midrange. It's still there :lol I think people are starting to romanticize the 3pt revolution narrative. I mean obviously 3's are way up, but it's not like no one isn't taking the midrange jumper or getting to the rim anymore.

I was about to mention the clippers in my rant about everyone being different but They hate the clippers

My thing is...do you want your big and wing spacing inside the 3pt line while your guard tries to make something happen? Of course not.

The best players in today's NBA aren't the Shaq's and Ewing's of the world. Their perimeter oriented guys who need space to operate. Hell, even Shaq would have benefitted from having his 4 man spacing out to the 3.

The 3pt revolution is more so about spacing and letting your best players take advantage of optimal space. Now if you're spacing, and your open, it benefits everyone if you can take and make an open 3. Simple.

^^^ I think the fact there’s a narrative that the analytics people have labeled long 2s “bad” shots has clouded the perception of how often those shots actually are taken...

I think the problem with this lets go crazy on threes thing is that most teams don't have the personnel for it.

Got a bunch of 6'9+ dudes out here standing at the three line despite them being below average shooters.

Yet 95% of teams keep jacking em up. It's really annoying to watch.

My point is that taking all those 3's isn't the best way to utilize an offense, when you don't have great three point shooters. When you have players literally in game action refusing to take good open shots to try & get a three it's gone too far, when you have a WIDE OPEN lay up & instead you have people leaking out for spot up threes it's gone too far.

Great your "PER" will look better, your "Advanced Stats" will look better... but some of these guys gotta ask themselves if it's Really making their team better.

Since Jimmy arrived, Ben is averaging 21.5 points (on 62.5% shooting), 8.5 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, while also notching three double-doubles.

but trade Ben tho right ???
