I hate and Love everything Nets.
Dinwiddow and even DLo, Ed Davis too, deserve better. pmatic pmatic and I were talking about this not long ago.

P was mad positive while I was super hater saiyan

I enjoy reading certain parts of Nets twitter. It’s so nonsensical.

People don’t realize how young the team is.

Russell, Dinwiddie, Crabbe, RHJ & Allen were the starters. Crabbe is the longest tenured NBA player in the starting lineup.

Had LeVert not gone down, And it was Harris and LeVert instead of Crabbe and Dinwiddie, Joe Harris would be the longest tenured starter.

Whereas successful young teams in the East have former all stars or guys who would start on a lot of teams or even guys who would log a lot of minutes on any team they touch as their veterans.. Bucks have EBled & Lopez. 76ers have Redick & Butler now.

The Nets veterans are Demarre Carroll, Jared Dudley, Kenneth Faried and Ed Davis.

It’s not a team that could win 40 games regardless of how well Russell & LeVert play because there’s just not enough there outside of them.

Epitome of Luke:

Game over. Mavs bring in end of bench in.

Luke brings in Ball after 7 mins on the bench. Ingram Kuzma still in game. Lol

Meanwhile he plays Beasley in 2nd quarter during important moments. You wanna give him minutes, play him now. How about playing your firstborn round pick now? Maybe zubac?

Considering he was signed for the minimum and wasnt signed for long, thats not gonna happen would love him to come back to Boston tho as a 6th man
Man he belongs to Denver, he will be traded, wasn’t the initial plan. Folks also said Plumlee was overkill and Nurkic was better and Plum was too expensive. Denver is lucky AF, but they’re ready

Damn I feel Big Bad, it was you and I that were rapping about the Nets. Not P and I. Youve legit had me looking at them different though. I want to bash the Organization, and then you make sense with a little bit of Loving on them, so I want to Love them.

I’m not quite sold. I’m a buyer though.

Reading too much into Luka struggling against the length and athleticism of Ingram and Kuzma tonight? Had to settle for a lot of fadeaways and tough pull ups.

If they stay on their current course, they are probably two years away from making the playoffs and probably pulling an upset on someone in the first round.

Truthfully this is the framework of a rotation starting next year that should be set in stone:
Russell/Dinwiddie
LeVert/Joe Harris
???/ ???
????/???
Allen/ Ed Davis
(If they want Hollis-Jefferson back, he slides between 3,4 & 5 off the bench. He’s mainly plays whatever position for matchups. If you need small ball he’s the 5, playing a good 3, he’s a guarding him. Good 4, he’s on the 4)

They don’t really have a shot at the Kyries or KDs. I think they’ll get a meeting because agents really like Kenny & Sean Marks, but it won’t be a serious one. Tobias Harris on the other hand is a perfect fit at the 4 for them. And to get them over the bump back into playoff basketball, they shouldn’t shy away from paying top $ for him.

They have a total of 5 picks between 2018-19 draft Musa is a 3/4, Kurucs is a 2/3. 2019 will be a lottery pick, Utah’s pick and 37-43 which should scatter throughout the rotation.

And the final piece is find a veteran at the 3 who can contribute anything. Which Dudley, Crabbe and Faried do not at their respective positions.

Doing that probably expedites it a year early.

Most players just have random matchups who they suck against basically every time no matter what. Even the best players in the league.

Given the talk about how much Doncic enjoyed the Madrid nightlife, but he's just another victim of the LA nightlife. :lol

Luka has already proven to be a tough shot maker, which is good early on. Nice amount of craft and subtle hesitations to get stuff off. He also has a nice feel and IQ. As P said, not sure about the Luka and Smith pairing long term.

But he's going to have to get his body right to exercise every bit of athletic ability out of himself if he's going to max out as a player. As teams and players start to gameplan for him, it'll be a challenge for him as they start to sit on some of his patented stuff. He's an interesting case study. At 19, he's already been a pro for awhile and plays "old" at 19. I'm interested in seeing where he ends as a player.
