Eh Luka is getting an incredible amount of hype, I don't think he's wrong to say people are treating him as a would be superstar. However the take about how good he can be and how he's a average shooter and playmaker is wrong.

) hitting Bennett with PERFECT pop passes. Great timing, shoulder to shoulder on the screen, hesitation and pass right in the shooting pocket. Beautiful

Lakers and lebron won last night and the night before but I don’t hear a peep from the LeHaters.
What are they supposed to say? I mean, they have the best player in the league. They’re supposed to win more often than not, right? And they won two home games against an Indiana team missing its best player and .500 Mavs team. Not exactly reason to crown them anything.

Moronic coaching job last year. All he had to do was play him at the 5 and Miles at the 4. Surround with shooters. Instead felt the need to play Nick Ward alongside JJJ.JJJ dropped 36
Weird seeing so many college teams not adapt to how the game is being played at the NBA level with more 4 out/5 out sets and lineups. Sean Miller was guilty of it last year with Ayton at Arizona too.

I still didn’t think JJJ’s post game was this good. Felt like he actually worked it more prior to the season. He was efficient on the block at MSU, but very limited in his touches.
I honestly saw him as a pick n pop threat with the ability to run off curls in his rookie year. The confidence he exudes right now is crazy. If he becomes a superstar, I’m living my best life the next 8-9 years we have him before he goes to a big market.

I remember I was ready to drop jjj, but then his 4th game he dropped 20 and 11 in 18 minutes or something like that. Since then I've kept a hold of him through his up and downs and I was rewarded last night.
Even if he goes back to single digit scoring I'm never letting him go cuz he is a block machine.

I was just noting the fact that he had 5 steals last night & 4 in the first half. Brought the Lakers back with his hustle and energy.

Throughout the summer until now from podcast to people in this thread i''ve heard people spewing that Luka is a franchise changing player, "generational talent", Best prospect since AD etc etc... guys who have that kind of buzz around their name are usually top 5 guys at some point.
I'm not sitting here making mental notes of which one of ya'll posters said what on what specific day, Dudes act as if it isn't said by a NT sports forum analyst it doesn't count... my point is people are projecting him to be a really elite player & i have to see the tools of an elite player

I think Luka is just an advanced rookie who will fulfill his potential faster than other young guys but I still think his ceiling is still low because of his lack of physical ability.

I’m not looking for props but the mavs have been playing really well lately. Look up their november stats. They were 8-2 heading into the game last night coming off back to back victories against Boston & Houston.

i don't think his lack of physical ability is as pronounced or even hurts his game as much as some of yall are making it out to be though. he's shown his abilities. he has good vision on offense, has a good shot, able to drive and is pretty good on the defensive end
