Speaking of things people didn’t say - just to make this clear -
I never said the Lakers didn’t have a big, loyal fan base before Shaq and Kobe. They did.
I said they got a lot more fans because of the Shaq/Kobe era. I think that’s indisputable.
I also didn’t say nobody was paying attention to the Lakers pre-Shaq/Kobe.
I said that the group of Lakers fans who hopped on the bandwagon in the 2000s, but act like they watched George Mikan play are just as annoying as new Warriors fans who act like they were down from day 1.
Basically, the point I was trying to make that the bump in fans the Warriors have gotten in recent years is comparable to what happened with the Lakers in the 2000s.
It also happened with the Bulls in the 90s.
Dynasties or semi-dynasties attract fans. It’s how it’s always been.

Question for my NT basketball Guru's in here.
My women's team (college) is 9-1 and ranked nationally for the first time ever D2. We play a team tomorrow that is 8-2.
Our pg is our best player. Our offense is pretty much high ball screen with the 4 and PG is read and react, she is money finishing at the rim or drawing the defense and kicking to the wing for 3 or on the roll to our big.
HOWEVER she cannot shoot a LICK!
I am 100% sure tomorrow they will go WAY under all her ball screens and give her the Rondo treatment, I am struggling to try to find other ways to keep her involved to keep her effective.
