I tried so hard to see something special from your son, but this was a straight line drive lay up

Y'all said Zion going over RJ Barrett.

I still don't see it.
I have been asking this question a lot. The way RJ performed in FIBA and the way he killed team USA showed dude is the good. I see all the upside for Zion but lord is hard to pass on RJ.

Missed the game last night and see the wolves lost. Wonder why roco didn’t play I know damn well thibs ain’t giving dudes days off for rest :lol don’t

It's a serious worry as a fan. They weren't ish without Butler last season and even though it's just 1 game, it appears the same this season when it comes to Covington. I don't get it.
I would've started Okogie and kept the second unit together. They've been playing really well. Not sure why thibs started Rose in place of Covington.

Yeah, asking "why did Thibs..." is an exercise in futility. No idea why he does some of the things he does and has he ever addressed why he doesn't play Okogie much?

He doesn't make the 9 man cut :rolleyes

He definitely deserves to be playing tho. Every time he's in the game he shows he can contribute to winning

GG last night Heat fans. Spo threw the zone at us and our offense went completely to ****. Impressive performance by a way undermanned Heat squad.

The clippers looking like they’re the ones on the 2nd night of a b2b

Atmosphere at Staples also made it sound like we were the road team. Heat fans were way more vocal. That’s not unusual with home games against a few teams - Bulls, Knicks, Celtics, Lakers - but never heard it that pronounced with the Heat before.

No excuses though. Heat just played better, harder and with more confidence than us last night.

The clippers had sooo many games against injured teams and were still only 2 or 3 losses from being out the playoffs. Only a matter of time before it caught up to them. Probably had the easiest schedule in the league when you factor all the injuries. They're good but they were never as good as their record

Luka's step back is killer.

Especially when they let him get away with traveling

He'll quit before he finishes his contract. Never fails

To me the Trey Young thing is somewhat defensible, he's a worse prospect, but at the very least.

a) Trey fits the mold of superstars in the current NBA, guys who can run pick and roll and score and pass in all the 3 levels.
b) from a pure asset mangment POV you could argue it's smarter, you get a second lottery ticket.

But taking bigs that don't play defense, is pretty indefensible. You can hid Luka, Trey young, can't hid bad defensive C's and their offensive impact is lower.

It was a horrible decision imo. For one Trae might be serviceable one day but he was never built to be a superstar, not even close. That was all undeserved hype that I could not understand whatsoever. And then you're gambling that the extra pick is also top 5 but now it isn't and right now it's looking like you traded a superstar for 2 mediocre picks. The best pick they'll end up with is their own because of how bad that trade worked out. It's a classic bird in the hand, two in the bush scenario
