I definitely don't see KD and Kawhi teaming up. If KD comes to LA, it's to the Lakers. Kawhi is a toss up. When the Spurs were listening to offers woj was reporting that kiwi wanted to be a Laker even after LeBron signed

He's supermax eligible if he makes an all NBA team or Defensive POTY. It's going to be interesting to see what the Warriors do if he does indeed become supermax eligible.

He is the heart and soul of that team and as good as a defensive player as there is in the NBA but as you mentioned, you can't pay somebody $40 m when he can't average more than 10 points per game and is an offensive liability
