Raptors have pretty much everything you’d look for in a contender this year...Bonafide superstar, good shooting, good defense, good depth, good lineup versatility.

Ill be honest, I didn't follow the raptors last season to be aware of their defensive abilities.
I definitely agree with you, the raptors has the right formula for success to finally win Eastern conference finals.

Will be queing up a raptors and GSW game on lock. I think they are the team to put choke on them golden boys.

So after being the main reason the Jazz lost, Mitchell was waiting on Curry looking like this ?

Scumbag Lebby left the Undertaker hanging. I can’t believe his lack of respect for the Deadman. :smh:

Talent wise they ain't the same. Vince was more talented than Kawhi. Vince came into the league looked at as a future franchise player. He just never lived up to that. His game never really improved after his few years in the league. Kawhi was a role player/defensive stopper that worked on his game and became a top 5 player.

BINGO! Spot on assessment.

Poor Vince had to deal with Butch Carter, Sam Mitchell and Lenny Wilkens as coaches. And he had the weight of the world on his shoulders from Day 1. Can you imagine how he would’ve turned out if he was coqched by Pop and had the luxury of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli & Tony Parker as teammates.

Everyone thinks Kawhi is going to the Clippers or Lakers, but I think he stays in Toronto. Inland Empire dudes don’t really sweat LA like some of y’all think.

Kevin Love is a lot more dangerous in a league with a bunch of guys like Reggie Evans, or Carlos Boozer at the 4.

Kevin Love aint fall off, the league caught up.

Except they were one of the best defensive teams in the league last year

And then they swapped DeRozan with arguably the best perimeter defender in the league (when he wants to be) and another known good defender in Green.

Their (perennial) showing against LeBron clouded how good they were against everybody else last season. Pretty sure they either split or won their season series against pretty much everybody last year, including Golden State, Houston, and Boston.

regular season defensive numbers were misleading.

Defense was good in the regular season but was consistently set on fire by elite teams and in the playoffs.

All in the West. KLove still made the ASG and second-team All-NBA.

What exactly did Kevin Love’s inflated stats lead to in Minnesota?
Dude isn’t even gonna make the playoffs in the East this year.
Please stop gassing him only to throw shots at LeBron.

it's true, the raptors started Amir Johnson back then, so many more teams had two traditional bigs, it made stretch 4's who couldn't defend way more valuable.

the 4's weren't able to guard Kevin Love at the 3 point line and Kevin Love didn't struggle to guard them either.

now

Raptors put guys like, Siakim, OG, Kawhi at the 4, who can gaurd at the 3 point line and switch pick and pops, and Kevin Love isn't a good enough post player to punish them for it.

Kevin loves stats weren't "inflated" he just got to Cleveland just as the league was figuring out how to neutralize him.

His stats were definitely inflated and didn’t lead to wins.
Dude often disappeared in 4th quarters of close games.
He also used to not contest shots in order to get more rebounds.

All easier for kevin love than dealing, with switching, It's much harder for Zbo, Dirk, Timmy, D Lee, to check Kevin Love on a pick and pop.

now teams just switch that action, and Kevin Love is not quite good enough to punish them for it.

Switching makes it so that only stretch 4 types who are really effective post players can really be offensive superstars.

Nah not really, the starting lineup was one of the best in the league by the numbers, they had a horrible bench is the reason they didn't get wins.

also rick addleman had compltley checked out and looking forward to retirement, and he didn't bother to stagger his star players making the bench situation worse.
