Can someone do the cliffs on the whole Duke thing
guy posts on niketalk in the nike lebron 16 thread and appeared normal and a lebron shoe fan

then started throwing shade at lebron and claimed he worked for the cavs and know all of lebrons dirty little secrets and told nt members to ask him anything

mods kicked him out the threadcuz he wasbt talking shoes no more

comes to nba thread and does the same. everyone is not buying it

nt detectives discover he dont work for the cavs he a car salesman that hates lebron for leaving the cavs

now he claims his account was hacked

Can someone do the cliffs on the whole Duke thing

Here's a rough summary:

-It started in the Lebron 16 thread a few weeks ago

- He made some weird disparaging remarks about Lebron in the Lebron thread (some of which were racist)

- People (myself included) asked him what was up with the odd hatred and racist remarks

- He responded by posting a picture of his closet full of Lebron shoes and saying "I only support Lebron from the ankles down"

-He also found it appropriate at that time to let NT know that he was Jewish and from the burbs and that he had several black co workers, which somehow meant that he was not a racist.

- He proceeded to make disparaging personal remarks about Lebron and his associates at which point he volunteered (unsolicited) that he was a cavs employee working in a vague division of the franchise that focus on "artifact collection" whatever the hell that means

- At some point his fake Cavs insider knowledge spilled into this thread

- He attempted to hold a Reddit style AMA on the Cleveland Cavs

-One woefully uninformed user went on Duke's profile and posted a question asking Duke where he, himself could secure an NBA job  (I know we all want to believe that NT is like Nancy Botwin's gated community on Weeds, but protect ya neck and act like this is a Barksdale Corner in West Baltimore. Some of these boys will sell you rare truffles...come to find out you've purchased an Herbalife subscription that you can't cancel).

-He attempted to break Cavs trade news as if he were Woj or Shams

- Said trades never materialized

- He lied about a bunch of other things, refused to post his work badge to prove that he worked for the cavs, claimed to be privy to internal Cavs emails

-NT Detectives whose investigative tactics are undefeated discovered Duke's twitter account where he: defended and promoted the Cleveland Indians racist chief yahoo logo, called a player a derogatory term for black people that starts with a 'C', admitted that he actually works at a used car dealership, and to his credit, seemed to do his best to disavow the Dumpster Fire, better known as one Donald Tr*mp.

-NT detectives also unearthed Duke's LinkedIn account where he makes no mention of working for the Cavs (LMAO) only a podcast that can't be found on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

- He also claimed to be tight with Kyrie Irving

-In an act of utter desperation tried to call a lifeline by bringing up the fact that he and @bballkid11 had either met in person or had some type of interaction. @bballkid11 side stepped the opportunity corroborate Duke's story in an admirable act of self preservation :lol:

- He claimed to have been in attendance at the '16 NBA finals where he allegedly was close enough to the action that he was able to call Draymond Green a B.A.N. to his face like a real tough guy

-Incredulous NT users again questioned his ethnicity in response to the alleged Draymond incident

-Duke then claimed that he received praise from Cav's brass the following day for verbally assaulting Draymond

- Within the last hour or so he has been attempting to contact the official NT twitter account (whose function is CLEARLY not intended to address these types of petty issues  ) claiming that someone has stolen his identity and registered two accounts with his IP address

-According to his twitter account he has been IP banned

- Oh and maybe the best detail---- @Duke330 claims to have been the recipient of a promotion from the Cavs org. From the janitorial crew, directly to the basketball opps dept. where he will serve as Koby Altman's right hand man.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Duke330 now lives in NT infamy forever.

[If you have time to kill, are bored, or simply need those laughs, please see his violently hilarious twitter account @ TheJeffSchwartz where he is essentially yelling into the ether at nobody in particular and exposing himself as a racist in denial]

I started the nostalgia game in the CBB thread so gonna bring it back here too. I'm jumbling random basketball thoughts together, so someone check me if I'm mixing dates/players.

Gutted when Bobby Phills passed. David Wesley on the Hornets also.
Shawn Kemp playing with GP, Detlef Schrempf and Dale Ellis.
Ruben Patterson the self-proclaimed "Kobe Stopper." I think Bryant came out and lit Patterson up for 50 the very next day.
Those Indy squads with Dale Davis, Antonio Davis and Rik Smits.
The big-man passing of Vlade Divac and Arvydas Sabonis had me in awe at the time.
Bonzi Wells = Buckets. Instant offense off the bench. Pippen on the Blazers was weird to see altogether.
Obviously the Knicks vs. Heat rivalry was huge in NYC. P.J. Brown, Mashburn, Mourning, Hardaway. Eddie Brown.
Michael Finley back in the day.
Peja a sniper. I'll never forget when one of my homies told me he smashed Sienna West. Newfound respect for Serbian dude after that.
Bobby Jackson go-to sixth man for Sacramento. No idea why I remember Lawrence Funderburke. Doug Christie being whipped.
Vernon Maxwell jumped teams like crazy.
Forgot who coined it, but Voshon "in Motion" Lenard.
"Big Country" Bryant Reeves.
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and McDyess on the Nuggets.
Jeff Hornacek, was he the one that would touch his cheek before every FT? Bryon Russell obviously for the MJ push-off that wasn't called.

Edit:
My guy @be easy was hyped off those Detroit squads with Ben Wallace, "Rip" Hamilton and Chauncey.
Bucks squad that Iverson beat when he went sicko mode in the playoffs through the Eastern Conference. Had Ervin Johnson and "Big Dog."
Those Nets team that were playing with crazy pace on the fast break. Kidd feeding Kenyon Martin, RJ, Kittles. We all felt bad K-Mart had Tourette's. Kendall Gill and Jayson Williams before that generation. Lucious Harris was a bucket-getter off the bench.
Todd MacCulloch on the Sixers and Nets, literally just serving as a big man to give six fouls.
Dan Majerle on the Suns.
Jim Jackson starting his career with the Mavs.
Tony Massenburg a journeyman. Chucky Brown also.

When Raefer Alston slapped the **** out of Eddie House in the '09 playoffs:

When Jason Williams hesi'd Gary Payton into oblivion and Gary responded by trying to trip JW:

When Veron Maxwell ran up in the crowd and Faded a fan for talking reckless:

How Eddie Jones would disappear every year in the playoffs for the Lakers and then Kobe came along and it was like Eddie never even happened

Nick Van Exel's entire career (your favorite PG today incorporates a little NVE in his game whether you want to admit it or not. Hi Dame, Hi Steph).

Chris Webber in absentia every single time it actually mattered

When Paul Pierce was stabbed 11 times on the streets of Boston...years later Danny Ainge thinks he can sell Boston as a city to Anthony Davis in extension talks...lol

Gilbert Arenas giving Kobe a 60 piece with no beverage in that season where they switched to the synthetic ball

That '03 Dallas squad that was supposed to be in the finals but was big trash

When Karl Malone got a 15 year old pregnant and the media let it slide

Dennis Rodman not getting credit for being the first openly gay player in the league

Bunch of gems, Kinfolk Kinfolk . How could I forget NVE as a Laker and on the Nuggs.

Stats and modern analytics aside, I've never seen anyone get boards as easily as Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace.

This one stands out for me. "Hibachi" been my guy since the UoA days. Gil doesn't have the longevity that other top scorers in the league do, but on his best day when he's frying, watch out. Had a three-year stretch that was amazing to see offensively.

I figured he had enough when he stopped responding to me and y'all found this man LinkedIn?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Happens all the time. Dudes come up with some stupid character then once their personal things come up they leave immediately. Happy to be a part of it yet again :nthat::nthat::nthat:
