Lol what? So you wanted me to say “black” instead of Jamaican and African? Ok.

Yes we had a sponsor. She was from Moscow. Only reason my parents liked her was because they understood the language and didn’t know a word of English.

I’ve asked you multiple times what do you do? What’s your profession/field? I’m curious to know. I don’t even know what we’re debating anymore tbh.
What I do has no significance in this discussion. Just know that I am successful due to my ancestral heritage, due to the sacrifices that they've made. I stand upon their shoulders, and I would dishonor them through the suggestion that by simply working hard in this racist country, that I have made it.

if you have any questions about what I have stated about this country and its crap, here are a few resources....
In colonial times, Northern freemen, like slaves, were required to carry passes when traveling in some places, and they were forbidden to own property in others. Although taxed in New England, they could not vote there in early colonial times, though they could in the plantation colonies.[2] Free blacks were required to work on roads a certain number of days a year in Massachusetts, at the discretion of the local selectmen. They could only use ferries under certain conditions in New England. In South Kingstown, Rhode Island, they could not own horses or sheep. In Boston, they could not carry a cane unless they were unable to walk without one.

The second exclusion law was enacted by the Territorial Legislature on September 21, 1849. This law specified that “it shall not be lawful for any negro or mulatto to enter into, or reside” in Oregon, with exceptions made for those who were already in the territory. The law targeted African American seamen who might be tempted to jump ship. The preamble to the law addressed a concern that African Americans might “intermix with Indians, instilling into their minds feelings of hostility toward the white race.'' The law was rescinded in 1854.

Also, if you were not a fan of your current situation, why would you not explore different opportunities/teams. If AD really wanted to be petty he would hit them with the kd and leave them with nothing next summer. Dude is still playing for the pelicans
If I wasn't a fan of my situation

I'd probably play through most of my contract. Maybe a month before the trade deadline my contract year, I'd let my team know privately I don't intend to resign and go from there.

If I really think poorly of management like that I could also just walk away when the contract is over and leave them with nothing :lol

Lebron and then need to get together and make their own league. They have the money and the voice to do it. That would be taking a stand. 4-5 years of taking top recruits and the nba would be in shambles. Give them the real **** you
Won’t get off the ground due to no control of the media ...unfortunately that’s never changing in this country, the media been decided a long time ago

Here's the full game from '88. The struggle is real.

 at the crowd getting excited for a behind the back dribble

No not NFL style

To my knowledge their contracts aren't guaranteed at all

What I'd have in mind is everything is all good and guaranteed unless you're trying to force trades early. They can even keep it in where money is still guaranteed even if you're hurt.

So, NFL style where contracts can't be guaranteed or in your words "voided". Same idea different words

You shown your colors

Folks been beating around the bush on this entire topic. They expose themselves at different rates. Word to @Duke330

Given these new discoveries, E everysingletime obsession with Zion and D.Rose seems kind of weird now :smh:

“race card” ?

another one out the closet[/QUOTE

Hate it had to be amel :smh:

We’re comparing the nba to office jobs again? JD617 JD617 I believe I’ve adressed this before?

:lol

I don't see Ray Allen's decision being any different than LeBron to Miami. Both going to a team they think gives them a good shot to win.

Think of it this way. You retire from your Walmart greeter position and after a couple years away you start to get that itch again. You apply at Target and try to get back in the mix. How can you hate on a man for that?

Hate it had to be amel :smh:
Idk what's the issue with what I'm saying. When you leave your job anywhere else you're not expecting to continue to get paid again until you pick up new employment. That's literally how it works, everywhere else on the planet outside of the nba. What's, racist about that?

The player wants to leave early. Fine, forfeit money. You get to leave right away and sign a new contract with another team asap, you won't need to wait 1.5 years to play for a team you don't want to play for. I'm not even saying all the money your original team agreed to pay you disappears either. Obviously you can keep what youve already been paid for services rendered.

You know me from the marvel threads right? You know how upset I would be if Chris Evans just decides not to honor his 9 film deal? If he leaves before movie 5 I wouldn't want him to get paid for the next four movies either. Would it make sense for him to leave marvel studios before movie 5, jump to dc studios and for him to expect dc to pay him the rest of what marvel owed?
