How exactly does LeBron intend to “guarantee” his body? Like, if he ends up getting injured, will any marquee player the Lakers sign be able to go elsewhere? Will he forfeit a portions of his salary for the time he misses?

It’s easy to throw the word “guarantee” around when there’s not actually anything behind it.

He spends $1 million a year on his body and steroids obviously. He really needs to just shut the hell up at this point though. He's only making things worse for himself when he ultimately fails.

This. all of this. Gonna need an insurance policy on his body to give players when they ask for buyouts.

I'll tell you now...

Curry x Kd>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kyrie x KD

If kd truly wants to win..he'd be making a mistake. he's already proven time and time again he's not built to be the guy. And kyrie already said being the guy was harder than he thought. This would be Harry x Lloyd Part III

Nah league needs KD to restore balance to the league. Maybe KD is built to be the guy now. Him and Kyrie would be awesome to watch in the Garden. And all you Bistephuals will get your guy unleashed again supposedly.

Why do you guys find this to be so silly? The man has been in the league almost 20 years and he had his only “major” injury last year and he was only out I don’t know 17 or 18 games. The man is a tank. Eventually it will break down but I’m betting lebron will be healthy most of next season too.

KD has only become more insecure with age. That level of insecurity ain't built to be the guy.

He probably will stay healthy. The silly part is him saying he “guarantees” it because there is no way he can actually do that. If he said, “I’m going to take care of my body like I always do and be ready to go next year” that would be fine. I just find it dumb to claim something is guaranteed when it really isn’t.

When curry out of the lineup....and kd still has draymond, klay and boogie, warriors get blasted lmaoo. lost by 40 to the mavs with kd running things lmaoo. with still 3 other all stars.

you dont become the guy. its in your heart. in your gut. the willingness. the skill comes as you put in work, but the fire is there from childhood. you either are, or are not.

Bron wasn't the guy until he was. And that was 2012. Y'all really be disrespecting KD something serious on here.

bron wasnt the guy on those cleveland teams?????? what????? you wild'n folk.

KD wasn't the guy on OKC, leading them to the finals and winning MVP? Their career arcs are eerily similar. Just cause Russ was an alpha and there wasn't anybody to even challenge Bron to that until he got to Miami doesn't mean it was in him to perform. Less we forget Wade was the one who had to tell Bron he'd step back for him to fully realize his potential as a player. KD has been the guy in the playoffs and on the biggest stage with a 2 time MVP. I think Twitter fingers aside he's a more mature player in GS than he was at OKC.

Where you read this mo?
listen to every guy thats ever been the guy in anything. they say they always wanted to be the one to make the shot, make the catch, be up to bat, kick the ball, lead the presentation, head up the project. Its something that's in us. It's how we're wired. I'm not wired to be anybody's Robin. In innate. It's in my nature. It's not something you can sell or be taught. You may not always have the skill to be in front, that's where the work comes in, but you're never comfortable being in the back, being carried. Because you don't want to give someone else that much power over you, the power to decide your success or failure.

hard to say. the safety net is much bigger. the risk of error is much smaller. It's a lot easier to bounce back from bad shots when you have 3 other nuclear weapons. And of course single coverage aint never hurt nobody.

I thought we were talking about KD not Steph?

Their paths are very similar.

But one got his ring and seemed comfortable with who he is while the other seems to have multiple personalities.

I was just listening to the Wilson Chandler episode of the Knuckleheads Pod with Darius Miles and Q Rich...

They asked Wilson what his thinking was when he decided to go to the league.

To paraphrase he said "I was sitting in class one day looking at my homework and was just like 'I HATE THIS SH**!' packed my stuff up and went home."

He said he sat at the crib for a month while living with two friends basically just drinking liquor and playing Xbox, not quite sure about what was next for his life.

Then he went to one NBA workout, got Torched by someone he refused to name (LOL) and GOT HURT, couldn't do anymore workouts and still went higher in the draft than anyone projected.

Wilson was pretty lucky considering that you're more likely to get struck my lightening than make it to an NBA roster.

It made me think about how SO MANY PEOPLE have that moment in school where they're like "I can't take it anymore", fail out, etc. but don't have a fruitful avenue to continue on to support their life...let alone an avenue that they absolutely love and is extremely lucrative.

I never had that "F*** this" moment in school and ended catching some major breaks and going about as far as you can on that path and was able to carve out a niche in a super crowded field, but a lot of folks are either still looking for that something or are having a really hard time legitimizing themselves professionally.

Said all that to say that I love that podcast and all hoop fans should tune in, mainly because it is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS, but also because Darius and Q are getting some classic stories out of guys on there on every episode.

Realize his full potential as a player? Bron realized he was that dude in game 5 versus Detroit. City of Detroit ain’t been the same since this ****.
