He deserves it, but it makes zero sense to do it. Wall Street’s deal prevents any chance they have in building around Beal. Hopefully whoever they bring in to run the team understands the only course of action is to race to the bottom + stockpile assets + develop potential. They’re going to lose for a while, but so what.
Best case scenario, by year 4 of the “process”...they’ve got some real talent in place that are coming into their own, a culture in place, and Wall off the books.
