Simmons bought it up recently in one of his pods but this is eerily similar to the Lebron in Cleveland team, where they had a good team around specifically set to there best players strengths, but they had no legitimate consistently reliable shot creator on the roster when you play the elite teams.
However it's hard to tell a young guy who just had the best record in the league that ya'll aren't willing to spend the money on a team he thinks is competitive... So they pay those guys and for the next 2-3 years the Star realizes that the squad ain't good enough & no other star is gonna sign in that city.

IDK. If we were talking about 2012 CP3, I’d agree. The 2019 version, I’m not so sure.
Plus, have to see what Philly and Boston end up doing this Summer to assess the favorite in the East next season, assuming Kawhi dips. More than likely will be Milwaukee though.
