My bad but I don't follow many teams religiously so I can't speak on other busts confidently  the other team I watch the most doesn't have anyone I could use as an example

When Jimmy see's Harden Watching the offense form 35 feet out when he doesn't have the ball & not even attempting to make a play on defense

I think having the first NBA championship team without a lottery pick on the team lends credence to the thought that teams are getting worse at it. It could be just a coincidence but I don't think so. The 1 and done rule could play a hand in it imo. It's ****ed up when staying in college and working on your craft puts you at a disadvantage when entering the draft. DDot outplayed Frank from day 1 but was getting sent to the G league because he was a 2nd rd pick despite a better resume.

I somewhat agree w/ the 2nd half, but when speaking on having the 1st team to win it w/o any lottery picks, we need it to happen more for it to be an actual sign. We don’t know if it was an anomaly until we see it done again.

But what do you think should be done about the 1 and done rule? Should they abolish it & let guys come out of high school again? B/c I think it should be abolished as a whole

According to jjs07 jjs07 Beal would have required Lonzo and Ingram and the #4 pick. Which was basically the centerpiece of this trade. The future picks are ultimately inconsequential since we'll be keeping at minimum our next 2 picks.

They kept Kuzma which was a huge cheap asset.

And I stand by what I said...it was Ingram and and any one of the three of Kuz/Ball/Hart (plus the 4.)

IF Beal is traded to the Pels, the return to the Wizards will be similar.

I don't have the answer but I feel like it should be done away with. Most of the 1 and done players aren't going to school to get an education and are doing it because that's the way the system for them to get to the pros is set up.

Agreed, just wanted your perspective. I wasn’t tryna be funny or anything Incase you thought that

Al is a solid guy but $100m’s? tfoh

Yeah if he can get that on the market, wow. He'll be 37 at the end of a 4 year deal. I wanted Al back, but not under those terms. Celtics probably ready to go full rebuild now.

I'm out on Capela though. I could see bringing him in if we're still a contender without Al, to compete with Embiid, Drummond, Giannis type players on the block. No point now though. Especially for that $. Only thing he has going for him is his age.

Could they agree in principle with Hot Sauce then if they don’t get second star by the 6th say “You know what, actually we’re cool” and match whatever DLo gets and run it back? It sounds so grimey that I’m almost positive it doesn’t work like that :lol

Same. Idk what his agent’s trying to pull but if they’re able to field that kind of offer from teams then kudos to him.

Gonna miss the mid-range/elbow shots from Horf. Those shots were money.

Although i feel like Chris Paul has definitely lost a step or 2, I don't believe that he's as washed as most think. I just don't understand why the rockets would pay him 40m+ a year to be a fire hydrant in the corner while harden dribbles the clock out.

I think both harden and Chris Paul have blame, but I think cp3 is more right than harden.

I mean when is the last time you saw harden do anything off ball that was worth a used condom?
No off ball cuts, no screens, no coming off down screens or floppy actions,no zippers, no movement. The Houston offense even got to a point at times where they didn't even set screens for harden. Even with all that said, they weren't far off from gsw even as full strength...pre or maybe they were.

To basketball purists, the rockets analytic approach, mda coaching or lack thereof and hardens style is infuriating.

If harden doesn't have the ball in his hand, he's disinterested and disengaged.

When harden draws double teams, there's no player movement from the other 4 rockets on court at all.

MDA shouldve been fired and it's a shame for that team (and the Celtics) that they will most likely go down as clubs that never reached their potential.
And this is why D'Antoni and Harden are perfect for one another. MDA's creativity goes about as far as off ball movement for an isolation play.

He should definitely be let go, and they should bring in someone a bit more creative who's willing to step away from iso-Harden all game.

He had a good 1-2 PNR game with Kyrie. He should just follow him to Brooklyn
