The NBA should just get rid of the preseason since it doesn’t count for anything, and summer league.

Shift the G-League schedule to cover summer and make people you’d play on your summer league team play there

Nets can win 5 titles in a row... the Knicks for better or worse are too ingrained in the city. we're talking generations of die hard Knicks fans. BKN could def snatch up some of the younger generation & people who are just loyal to Brooklyn (which is getting slimmer & slimmer considering A lot of BK has turned into a bunch of outsiders). Overall tho this will never be their city.

Think Clippers during the Lob City days, yes they will be a hot ticket, yes people will care more than they did when they were bad... but the second it dies down most of the momentum will be lost.

Now as a non fan of both fanbases idgaf who signs where, i just want em both in NYC because i Know Kyrie will be making an appearance in Dyckman as soon as he signs that contract & i can't wait.

But asking people why they root for the Knicks when they have been bad for so long is something else. And people no longer rooting for their team because they arent good is not something I can get behind.

I mean it's really dumb when you think about it. It's exactly what big businesses want: brand loyalty. Convince people that they should support your product thru thick and thin and you can cash out everyday without putting any type of effort into your operations. I'm not talking about team hopping like @essential1 but to pay top dollar for the worst seats at a rundown stadium with overpriced food and drinks and a team with the worst record in the league that was never even that good to begin with? I'm not saying that it can't happen but why is everyone so sure that Kemba is gonna willingly become a secondary playmaker/ spot up shooter when he's literally had the ball in his hands his entire career and hasn't played that style of ball yet?

He def has the skillset but idk if he's as willing to take a backseat as some of ya'll think

Indeed the Knicks haven't exactly been the model of excellence the past 20 years , but there fanbase is loyal to them like they've had 3 separate 3peats .

If nothing else, Knicks fans gonna ride with them to the Death. If the Nets were to win something NYC would show out for sure, but if the Knicks win the chip, the city may literally not exist anymore after the parade
