It would make zero sense for us to make that trade. We had a title winning team, Siakam is going to get better, and it was unnecessary to give up our future just to bring in Kawhi's boy. Also, you never let the inmates run the asylum. Kawhi wasn't serious about staying with us. If he was he would've realized he was in a great situation as the Raptors were still in a position to become stronger coming off a title winning year. We have a ton of salary coming off the books next year and Kawhi could've recruited another star to play alongside him and Siakam.
At the end of the day he wanted to go home no matter what he said about winning, trust, etc.
