I wouldn’t equate not wanting to play on the national team to laziness. Besides not having any way to prove that’s true, I highly doubt the very best athletes in existence can afford to be lazy
Yea not even sure why the lazy word is being thrown around AS IF that is the only possible reason someone wouldn't play for TEAM USA

Still kind of stilly for someone with that much money to rent property instead of buying in a market like LA. If he buys, no matter how long he stays on the Lakers, he’ll eventually get his money back or even make a profit from renting the house out or flipping it later. Rent money is just gone.
You right. When you're a millionaire, never rent.

Even if you change your mind about the house, you can always put it back on the market to make your money back.

You’d me surprised how man of these dudes rent they houses...

Journeymen role players and players in their first couple years that could be thrown in trades at any point? 100%

Superstar players that make over $28 million dollars per year? No.

AD prbly not even gon pay that rent

Klutch or the Lakers prbly gon foot that bill, after all the man did give up 4 Million

All of this is with regards to the REGULAR SEASON in the West-

I see Denver falling down some people's rankings and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Won 54 games last year. Bringing back the entire team. Best players on the team are all young and improving aside from Milsap.

Harden + Dantoni is good for 50+ wins easy.

San Antonio and Utah are proven systems.

Dame & CJ both in their primes is good for 50ish wins. Stotts is a good coach too.

I agree with all of this besides the Blazers. They lost 7 key role players, won’t have their third best player til close to the playoffs most likely and are counting on dudes like Hood, Bazemore and Whiteside to be their most important players other than some rookies and sophomores that rode the bench all last year. And Zach Collins is damn near the only player on the roster that plays defense.

Yeah not playing more ball with the best players in the world is definitely going to prepare them more for the upcoming season. Sitting at home on social media is what they need to be doing. C'mon man ur smarter than this these guys couldn't be more full of **** using that as an excuse.

You say they will be sitting at home on social media.

You tell me I am better than "that."

Ok....

If THAT is what you WANT to believe they will be doing if they don't Play for Team USA, then there is nothing anyone can possibly say to you to have an actual conversation.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner
I love the sport so given an opportunity to play for my country against other countries is something I wouldn't pass up. Yes it's easy to understand why they dont wanna play a lot of these guys dont really love the game like that and that is what disappoints me. Plus traveling overseas with new teammates is always a valuable and enjoyable experience but I get it most guys are lazy and/or have that shortsighted what's in it for me mentality u alluded to. It's also not till the end of the summer so even those who played in the finals will have had plenty of rest by then. If this is our sport we should dominate it ruthlessly and our best players should be eager to do just that. Not get lazy until we get beat again which is what is likely going to happen..

You love the sport as much as you do NOW, as someone that watches the NBA. If you were IN the NBA, there is nontelling how you would emotionally and physically feel to assume you would still view that opportunity as something that "can't be denied."

Let these dudes have their own personal reasons for not playing without forcing YOUR personal ideals on their decisions when you aren't in their position.

Eaay to say what you would do when you don't have to do it.

Ha maybe I'm exaggerating there but it's likely true especially for those that dont have kids. Shootin jumpers undefended in a gym is not better preparation than actually playing. But as long as people like u buy that bs they will keep spewing that to us.

If one of them came out and said the casuals dont really care about this tourney were going to win regardless and there isn't as much endorsement opportunity as the Olympics, I could at least respect the honesty. But nah I'm not buying that focus on upcoming season bs and u shouldn't either. Lots of players have benefit from international play and returned to have some of their best seasons. Barkley melo tyson wade are some that instantly come to mind and I'm sure there is plenty more. Quit making excuses for guys being divas.

Portland is solid, people sleep on them year in and year out. Bet their a top 4 seed again

You got it man.

I respect anyones decision to or not to play. It doesn't mean they are lazy divas, it just means they don't want to play. That is fine. Why call names for that?

Lol have to do it man I would kill to travel overseas a few weeks while running teams out the gym and getting away from the bs for a minute. Those are the type of trips/experiences they'll remember forever.

The very best Americans have absolutely zero to gain from beating non Americans in the Summer time. That isn't even debatable. Most of them have already experienced International competition before anyway (won World Cups or even have Gold medals)

National play is ideal for younger Americans who aren't as established. Like I stated before, guys like Kuzma, Mitchell, Turner etc. They can benefit from elements of International competition

The very best Americans have nothing to prove in International play by nature because the best competition exists in the NBA. That is the ultimate proving ground

YOU, in your current state, would view that as a can't miss experience.

That doesn't mean THEY should/will feel the same.

Are seriously not understanding perspective here? You have to pay for everything in life. They don't so of course you would look at that more fondly than they would.

Stop being a fan for a second and stop demanding that they operate how we feel they should operate.

I can respect a decision that is based on something real and honest. Injury or prior commitment sure who can question that. But wanting to focus on the season that doesnt start for another two months and citing irrelavnt acquisitions as a reason. Nah I know bs when I hear it.

I haven't demanded a thing just expressing my disappointment in some of the best athletes. If anything your the one demanding me to "stop being a fan" and blindly accept whatever bs excuse they give us. These nba guys really are heroes to some of u huh?

Aren’t most of these countries rebuilding anyway? All those guys who gave us fits from Spain & Argentina are old as hell now

Gonna take a while for them to re-load. Our C team going out there is probably best from a competitive standpoint as a neutral fan

Great reps for guys like Tobias & Kuz
