Millionaire status just how much money they bringing in...no telling what kinda spending they doing so renting all types of stuff is common

And you can’t just go around buying everything even if you got it like that  , sometimes u just need whatever for a short period of time
If I have the money I'd rather be the person renting out than doing the renting

Most of these ball players rent multiple properties out here. Real estate in LA is in a plateau stage anyway for regular people I can int imagine the stagnation of the 1%.

Lol so u do agree. Yeah they can feed us whatever reason they want I'd just prefer an honest one
No I don't agree with a single thing you have said.

Some might WANT to strictly focus on the season.

Some might NOT feel like it.

Some might have a mixture of BOTH feelings.

Some might have other feelings.

There isn't just ONE reason.

Only renting...

That’s true but the super wealthy have the benefit of being able to sit on a property until the market gets hot again, which it more than likely will. Been very cyclical like that since I first bought a house in LA. So if I had the means to basically pay cash for a $10 million house I would go that route and own the properly.

But I get why some rich people like NBA players might just find it easier to rent.

Who clinging to shh

These jokes coming

I’m just glad the lakers are worth the energy of cracking jokes on again

Because the lakers were just sad for a min.. I mean I can still hate watch the cowboys no matter how sorry they are, watching them catch an embarrassing L on thanksgiving will always be fun.. can’t say the same for the lakers

Is it possible thst things see beneficial to a multi-millionaire thst aren't beneficial to those of us making 60k.

The generalization of, "Renting is never better than buying" is illogical. What works for YOU doesn't HAVE to work for the next (and extremely more wealthy man.

The Blazers not making the playoffs convo is funny cuz it was the same exact thing ppl were saying before last season and they ended up in the WCF

Dame and CJ good enough and always healthy to make Portland a damn near lock for the playoffs
I think there's also a very strong chance that Whiteside's expiring deal turns into Kevin Love at some point this year. If not, Whiteside is in a contract year and will probably be productive anyways.

Ya'll cling to the dumbest/smallest ****.

"Lakers gave up the house!"

"Rob forgot the cap!"

"AD is only RENTING!!"

mfers thirsty as hell.
I mean Lakers fans cling to ANYTHING that could possibly link a player to LA so it’s only right ....Alotta of the fans was in here posting any random bs bout Kawhi signing just a few weeks ago :lol :{

Ofcourse not I'm focusing on the ones that were bs which the focus on upcoming season excuse is. If they just straight up said I dont feel like it I could respect that 100% especially if they're not getting paid.

I just want SOMEONE to say it is a waste of their time so others would feel the confidence in saying the same.

I don't care how anyone feels honestly. Someone just say it so we can stop acting like this is such a patriotic act and face it for what it is.

Laker dudes were treating some MAGA reddit guy and a child that doesn't understand betting lines as gospel with regards to Kawhi

Think AD owns a mansion in la and has had that for a couple hrs

Nvm someone already posted it

But if you’re working out in la,and are in la for the summer it just makes sense to rent out a mansion for you and your boys for a couple months

I remember KD did this in 2016 I wanna say. It was on his summer documentary and he specified to Rich that the rental had to be near UCLA for work out purposes. Players do that all the time

Not surprised players are bad with money.

Sadly 90 percent of them are broke within 5 years of retirement.

I see your point...but AD is making $27MM this year and that’s not even including however more millions he’s making in endorsements.

I’m pretty sure this ain’t gotta make him broke :lol. I doubt $600k/year coming out his pockets for rent is even putting a dent in his bank account. That’s literally only 2% of his gross income that’s being spent towards housing

Assuming you don’t live in your moms basement for free, I’m pretty sure your monthly rent payment takes up a large % or your take home income...

My post was not just about ad

Again 90 percent of nba players are broke within 5 years of retirement

*edit

I'm sorry 60 percent. 78 percent if we talking nfl players

The fact that it's a "destination" city is probably why I'd rather buy than rent if I were AD (even if he already owns something else), but it's certainly not going to make or break his finances either way
True. 600k to rent for a yr is not bad for how much money he makes.

But if it was 6 million to rent like I had originally thought, for a house selling for 14.... I was about to say, that dude going to be broke quick :lol

Can’t remember who it was, but I heard a former NBA player tell a story about how Prince rented a house the player owned in LA. When Mr. Rogers Nelson moved in, he Princed the place out by making everything purple, etc. But he also made sure the house was back to normal when he left. Prince paid the player like $5 million in rent for a relatively short period of time.

Now that’s the kind of benefit you get from property ownership
