Even if they had the public meetings the city council would still vote unanimously for it because jobs and progress and tourism etc

Ballmer should just buy Inglewood and be done with it

If I'm understanding it, it's not a matter of it coming down to a vote. By law that land has to be used for affordable housing if possible and the Clippers and the mayor tried to bypass that

Why this close to the Forum and Ram arena? Balmer is on that good Ye

Where do you think the Clippers should build an arena? Serious question - In Los Angeles. No more space Downtown. Westside would be a nightmare because of the parking, etc. IE is too far. Not enough space in 818. That’s why Inglewood.

Kerr said if you sign on the dotted line you have to honor the contract until it finishes. But he didn’t bring up PG forcing a trade 1 year into a 4 year contract as “bad for the league” because he did it in the offseason

Kerr MAD this happened to Alvin Gentry.

Warriors been plotting on unibrow for a minute. They just mad they didn’t get him. If this EXACT situation benefited the Warriors, Kerr wouldn’t say ****. **** him.

Like I said Kerr need to sit the **** down. Just selling false loyalty.

Actually that sounds correct IIRC from local news reports they were arguing for affordable housing vs a new arena and the potential issues that came with it. The articles were focusing on the public meetings/Brown act for some reason though.

How about Long Beach, at the old arena site where they’re trying to lure the Angels to :nerd:

Legally speaking, the Brown Act and public hearings are a big deal. If government entities don’t comply with the Brown Act, it makes it much easier for a dissatisfied party to challenge any decision by the entity in court.

I’d be fine with Long Beach in the abstract, but I haven’t really looked into it...

Touché about the Brown act, makes sense. I’m skeptical/doubtful that screaming residents would change the outcome though.

Probably Inglewood, LB, or a dead mall + parking lot are the only options left in the county :lol

If given the appropriate opportunity to weigh in, screaming residents (more often than not) will not change the outcome. But if they’re denied even the opportunity to speak, that is a problem. Government administration law can be weird and counter-intuitive, which is part of what keeps me working...LOL.

Ain't there land in Carson or Anaheim, just move in with the Ducks.
