Official 2019 NYK offseason thread. Brooklyn knick fans check in

how do you have groin issues at 20 years old???
absolute bust. total waste of resources. won''t even be able to trade his broken *** for picks or an up in the draft

Groin issues have nothing to do with age. Might as well bring in DSJ's knee and back issues. They both played in roughly the exact amount of games in their first 2 years

What it comes down to is we have 3 top 10 lottery pick point guards on our team and they're all not the answer.

It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t a top 10 pick. We could’ve drafted DSJR straight up or Mitchell. Instead, it’s Phil’s last poison pill.

Honest question. Do you really think this team would be better if we drafted DSJ instead?

Mitchell was drafted 5 picks later. Lets forget about him.

Thats obvious. But would the team be better?

Atleast Frank makes us a better defensive team. Does Mudiay or DSJ make us a better team when they're on the floor? I'm curious to know.

Said this same thing earlier

DSJr. is no question better at this point than Frank but his impact level is about the same

He isn’t pushing the needle in the win column by himself

I don't really know what we have in DSJ,, I need a season out of him. Mudiay had a better year than I expected but the jury still out. Frank got another year on the books so let him play it out if he can. Youth movements can be tricky because prime balling age ain't 19-20 imo .

The biggest thing about being patient with someone is that they show some sort of PROGRESS. If after working with someone for almost 2 years and they have shown ZERO PROGRESS then you have to assume you are wasting your time, dollars and man power. And that should be for most things in life, not just sports.

If we drafted DSJ, KP would still be here.

I've been saying that. That was one of the main reasons I was so pissed at the Frank pick.

Told y'all KP would be disillusioned with a project player that didn't make the game easier for him and he was also being forced to do too much on the court by himself for too long. Can't have a player of his dimensions and mobility trying to carry a team like that on his back possession after possession. Injury in inevitable

Both points played out exactly how I predicted. He got hurt over exerting himself and then he saw no progress in the immediate future so he pushed for the trade.

I don't think he would've even gotten hurt if we drafted DSJ. There's really no way to quantify and prove that but I feel like if DSJ came in and developed good chemistry with him like he has with Mitch and they were both dunking all over the Garden floor, things would've played out much differently.

But it is what it is, things happen for a reason and we're in a good position right now.
