never really loved the lottery system, there are teams in the NBA that never got the first pick yet there are the same teams winning multiple picks in the same decade, I'm with SAS, Knicks will pick someone like Bol Bol or Hachimura, what goes wrong will go wrong for the NYK unless I see it on June 30th at 6pm

I dont want beal with the Knicks, but the longer and the louder that options gets, the less and less we can offer for AD

Not sure why some people are comparing this situation to the CA deal.

The difference here, if we max out two FA we can only get AD via trade. Possibly a sing and trade to guarantee long term commitment prior to giving assets not name MR.

I'd take either Anthony Davis or Bradley Beal in a heartbeat

No need to explain about AD. He is a bona fide MVP candidate. Simple.

For Beal, I love his game. He's nearly a clone of Ray Allen in a different style

Ray Allen averaged 26 (21 FGA)/4/4 while shooting 43% & 37% 3P at 31 years old before the Sonics/Celtics blockbuster. Beal averaged nearly 26 ppg (19 FGA), 5.5 apg and 5 rpg while shooting 47% & 35% 3P at only 25 years old. Oh geez

The Celtics traded the rights to Jeff Green and cap fillers for Ray Allen and a second round pick (Glen Davis). If Knicks decided to go after Beal, I just hope Ernie Grunfeld has a soft spot for his old team Knicks so Mills/Perry don't need to give up too much

Beal is probably the cheap and safest choice over AD when it comes to long term. Back to back 82 played games plus 2 years left on the contract. On the paper, KD + Kyrie + AD is the best of all. When it comes to reality/future, I'd say the Beal one

I'd be happy to have AD, Beal or RJ on our team. I am counting on Mills and Perry to do the right thing. Wakanda Forever. Happy belated Ramadan

RJ is going to be better than Beal?

My only reasoning to not make the trade is because I feel beal is overpaid. Yes tremendous talent but they dont equate to wins. At least not yet.

Beal is a great player. But there’s no reason to have him plus a kyrie or kemba. His contract is too high to be a third option. I personally rather Beal then Kyrie though for the simple fact is he shuts up and plays.

Pelicans have no power. The only reason the have a little leverage is because there are several teams interested which AD stated he would play for and some teams like the Knicks needing a trade to actually get him.

Besides that, what power they have? Keep AD 1 more year and lose him for nothing.

Trading for AD next deadline would be sweet but he’d probably already be shipped to Boston by then. It’s either NYK or BOS for AD. Pelc are gonna be loaded with assets if they make some trades.

I’m not saying Beal isn’t good. I’m saying that I don’t think he’s THAT good to where you’d give up a #3 overall pick, aka RJ Barrett. If we were to keep the pick and not get AD, it doesn’t make sense to trade a 19 year old getting paid like 5 mil a year for the next 4 years. Beal + Kyrie/Kemba wouldn’t be necessary anyway.
