If AD keeps playing the way he has, that would be insane.

Maybe. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

if Vogel continues to leave Bron on to statpad in blowouts he may rob AD. Also the media may give him sympathy votes since he didn't win regular season MVP.

These are two reasons I think he will win. And he’ll be rewarded for being the Lakers “leader” through the difficult, unusual season.

Kyrie yea,

But even before the Warriors people knew KD was that guy, & he was surely The closer on those two Warrior squads also. That's not to say steph never did it/wasn't capable, but when you have a 7 footer with unlimited range putting the ball in his hands is just a safer bet.

Either way, I pray for Kyrie & KD to be healthy next season, they are gonna be a serious issue

Completely agree. But KD & Kyrie would never garner the love and admiration that Bron & Steph did.
The fans would always love Steph & Klay more than him and he knew it. But straight hooping.. yeah KD got that.

It’s crazy because Cleveland DRAFTED Kyrie as well after Bron took a huge sh*t on the franchise and dipped in 2010.. When he returned in 2014, the fans suddenly embraced him again like nothing happened. I can imagine Kyrie probably wasn’t too happy about being pushed aside for Bron, even if they were contenders now... Cleveland fans are something else though, at least they got the 2016 title amid all that mess-I don’t think any of them will live to see another one (wouldn’t be at all surprised if a lot of them are Lakers fans now).

Bron is at 26/10/9 TS 63%
AD is at 29/9/3 TS 66%
one anchors the defense and the other anchors the offense
this why i was saying they should do Co-FMVP i mean its bubble szn why not do the first one for this crazy *** one-off season lol

both at around 30 PER (according to BBall Ref rn)
also both ta about 30% usage rate

Would just like to take this time to state

AD is averaging 29/9/4 on 57/38/83, while also being the best defender in the postseason. The skill was always evident, he's done this before in the playoffs. We've just never seen him sustain it for this long.

There's no more denying it he's in Tier One & he's just entering his prime :emoji_heart_eyes:
antidope antidope thoughts?

Nah, we needed LeBron and AD to come back in the game. The lead had gone from 32 to 15 and there was still a couple of minutes left. Don't get me wrong, it would have taken a colossal meltdown to actually lose the game but I agree with bringing the stars back in just to make sure.

AD anchors the offense and defense let's not be coy.

Championship is tainted

I don't want any player to ever be injured but injuries are part of the game and this wouldn't be a tainted championship. If both AD and LeBron got injured tomorrow, I doubt ALA would be showing the Lakers any sympathy.

Also, throughout history just about every title run is impacted by injury. Last year with KD and Klay, 2018 with Chris Paul in the WCF, 2017 with Kawhi in the WCF, 2015 with Kyrie and Love in the Finals. Are all of those tainted championships as well?

hmm. well by anchor i meant Bron is the facilitator. he generates offense for the entire team including himself.
AD can just go and get his but you're right he's an important part of the offense as well.

Bron has shown to be important on defense too though I mean we just seen him guard Murray and Jokic and relatively neutralize them in the closing moments.

But i know how you are with Lebronald :lol

I just wanted to point out how close in they are in terms of the numbers. even i was suprised Bron shooting TS 63%
Think it would be fitting to have the first one-off co-fmvp for the first one-off bubble playoffs lol

It's amazing that MVP MVP is rooting for LeBron to win a championship on the Lakers and simultaneously hating on LeBron and trying to undermine him and his impact.

AD has gone to another level in the playoffs just starting the facts. Member how all the on/off stuff during the regular season where it was terrible with AD on by himself and Bron off. That's flipped. We haven't skipped a beat with Bron off a lot of the time.

Yep, and the gather step is frequently used in the modern era.

How would that Bulls team adapt to pacing and transition defense when shooters have move out to the perimeter? Phil didn’t run a zone where it could easily adapt to that. I’m not saying that they couldn’t over the course of a series but the fact that Pop had trouble defending that team with a great defense makes me wonder if Phil could adapt with a 90s Bulls team, especially with players playing at a slower pace essentially their entire careers up to that point. No doubt in my mind that MJ was the best player ever and at his peak but running a slower, triangle offense would have team implications if facing the best team in a modern system.

to be honest, I find the triangle pretty overrated. it worked to perfection because of Jordan cause it eases off his total workload. I'd say the triangle offense benefited because of Jordan. also, the open court was pretty much the Bulls dangerous offense. as far as defense goes, the Bulls employed a full court press most if not all game. if memory serves me right, this was one of the reasons the Warriors struggled in the playoffs where they lost to the Cavs. anyway, we are talking about the 96 Bulls, so pretty much Jordan was still on his last dominant self. I would give the Warriors a chance though against the 98 Bulls.
