With the roller derby glove on. Remember it like it was last month

The goat Right lead foot dunker

Even Jr was shook swimming around somewhere

Shout out John Sally right there. When it was cool to hate Kobe he was one of the few people on TV telling people this kid is gonna be a goat.

Terry Stotts a wack coach. His team down 20+ and his coaching in the huddle was "let's get some stops. We score some baskets." I could've given them that advice for free.

The art of coaching isn't seen at all. There's a deeper message behind "let's get stops" that is preached throughout the season so that players understand what it means to get stops. Any coach giving long speeches about strategy during a game will be tuned out. On GameDay t's all about the one liners that trigger the deeper message.

They always cut up the clips so we only hear the generic stuff. Thought this was clear  That & the coaches’ interviews after the quarter are the biggest wastes of “content” that they decided to add to the National tv broadcasts. I forgot if Silver added this or Stern did right before he retired. It was part of that massive TV deal that helped spike the salary cap

Game 1...Portland had dame moving all over the place without the ball. They need to get back to that again.
It’s been years & Stotts still hasn’t incorporated this into the offense consistently  for both CJ & Dame. He’s gotta start adding some new wrinkles. Dame & CJ hit a rough patch every playoff run with all that dribbling & contested shots.

No one asked but this calls for another nod to Steph who moves off ball 82 games a season AND playoffs. That **** takes energy.

Shout out to Rip Hamilton.

They do talk about strategy in timeouts, it just isn't shown in those mic'd up segments on TV. NBA coaches don't want that stuff out there so the TV networks just show the most bland, rah rah type stuff. They show that stuff during WNBA games though.

Forgot who told this story but one team used to send a guy to locker room between quarters to look at the TV broadcast to catch anything shown during timeouts or interviews

Who did this? No one did this.

Just wait cuz we're about to get an entire career of this like we did with the second half Bron's career. Luka will always be the "underdog" or "goat" - sometimes simultaneously.

Paul George needs to have Deep Reverence on replay today.

On the coaching subject this is why the CotY award is somewhat of a nonense thing. 99% of what NBA coaches do is not seen by anyone; the fans, the media, you name it. All we see and judge people on is a small amount of the end product.

Agreed it's entertaining to hear coaches draw up plays. They used to do that in the NBA as well. I would also say calling a play is different than strategy. We aren't going to hear coaches talking bball philosophy during games.

P.S. James Wade could coach an NBA team.

Y’all seen Luka’s illuminati tattoo?

Waiting to see which one of y’all gonna say he’s an industry plant.

:nerd:

Harden been in league a decade yall got maybe another year or relevance and you excited about a regular season victory?

Yall **** ride his stats and rankings because that's all he will ever give you.

You know that **** deep down in your soul too.
Sheesh, you been waiting to get this one off huh? I’ll let you cook, harden just took a L and Luka just balled out, so I’ll roll with it. Luka vs harden playoffs series is possible this year...

Well we said this. How many statements can players make. If they don't even feel like just talking to cameras equals anything. From a social standpoint....the words on the jerseys...words on the floor...comments in post game...means squat. Cops don't give af. Neither does the government. NBA is like the 4th watched sport in the US. And coincidentally, mad racists watch basketball, hating and rooting at the same time.

The bubble was great to protect guys from corona. Mission accomplished. And it's been great letting the men make their comments. But the small print is...not that many people are even watching the games. Biggest games get 8 million views, I'm talking game 7 curry vs Bron type games....average per game has been 3.2 mil or less.. From a country of 330mil. And post game gets even less views, exponentially.

I get guys want to do both. But we said from the beginning...you can't have you cake and eat it too.
