Kobe i’ll give you.

Steph you’re trippin. Especially on that time frame.

Only year you could make an arguement for is 2015.

Let’s have a convo. Take it in the “legacy” thread.

It’s way more closer than you realize.

The tweet literally ended with yo saying that playing these games is taking attention and energy away from the cops still wildin in his opinion

And he probly has a point, more ppl will be commenting on Playoff Pee today than the dude that got shot in the back in the state that George Hill is representing in the bubble...Police shot and killed somebody else in Louisiana a couple days ago as well, I can see why Hill would feel some type of way
This country don’t deserve entertainment, don’t deserve a cozy “distraction” from the discomfort society is experiencing

Everytime I hear “this is exactly what this country needs right now” in regards to sports I cringe. And that’s regardless of who says it or what their motivation in saying it. Country doesn’t need sports it needs a ****ing wake up call

Dont get it twisted I am watching the nba. I am watching mma. But if they weren’t happening I’d be all for it too. The evil people in this society need to reckon with themselves and don’t deserve a damn thing, certainly not a distraction or happiness

I agree with the baseball player that "sports should be a reward for a function society" and by that metric, America 100% doesn't deserve sports right now. I 100% respect the opinions of George Hill and FVV but if they were to protest, what is they realistically plan to accomplish? What would be defined as success? I know there are people who say they welcome sports as a "distraction" from everything going on but I would be willing to bet a lot of those same folks wouldn't pay attention even if there were no sports. They would just find another distraction. In my eyes, they're like the folks who threaten to cancel the NBA but were never viewers to begin with.

The players of these leagues which are predominantly black shouldn't have to forego their annual salaries that have them in the Top 1% of the US earners (NBA - Median: $2.5MM, Average: $6.6MM and NFL - Median: $860K, Average $2.7MM) in order for change to occur. IMO, if they are going to do that, there should at least be a solid plan with tangible goals and potential results in place.

Maybe this goes back to function society piece but it's sad that we live in a country where professional athletes feel the burden of having to hold citizens accountable instead of the government officials who hold decision-making power and unfortunately are the true stewards of change.

What part of The Valley darthska darthska ?
All over 909. #home Mostly Fontana, Rialto, Etiwanda, Cucamonga, and Ontario was my stomping grounds. Growing up, though, I've literally lived from Pomona to San Bernardino, Lake Arrowhead to Chino Hills, and tons of places in between.

It is a legit question.

You say the media/public will have soured on Giannis by then because he wouldn't have won anything.

But you somehow KNOW Luka would have won something by then? Why wouldn't the same happen to him by that point? 2023
I never said he would’ve won anything
he is due man. you know how it goes
I mean what’s a good game for him now 18-20?

I never said he would’ve won anything
So if Giannis will get the cold shoulder by then why do you think Luka will STILL be praised, as heavily, in 2023 if he hasn't won anything?

My main point in all of this is just how you have so much confidence that Luka will be "better" than Giannis in 3 years.

As if Giannis is an old finished product.

My guy talent wise he’s better than Giannis now!!! At age 21

Today, I’m taking Luka of Giannis with no hesitation. Giannis can’t shoot and that’s a huge problem. Once the lane gets clogged he has no choice to rely on the likes of Kris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe. His offensive game is very limited.

Imagine averaging 28 PPG over the course of the last 3 seas..................NVM.
